So far they are 0-4 while playing against the tiest of teams.

The Sixers 73 team finished with 9-73

Will they break the sixers record?

Too early to say..should have made the thread "better chance: Lakers breaking the record of 9 wins or Warriors winning 72"

If they lose vs. Brooklyn, then ya, the watch officially begins..

Lakers have had the easiest schedule in the NBA, so far, IIRC..

I would say if Kobe goes down with an "injury", the Lakers could win a few more games, but unlike last year he doesn't even have the worst +/- on the team. I didn't look up everyone's +/- but D'Bust and Julian Randle are both sitting at a net negative -16. Kobe with a respectable -15.

    The future of the Lakers

Well we need to be in the bottom 3 to keep our pick. So far so good. But never underestimate the 76'ers they are masters at tanking.
The funny part is we are not trying to tank; we just suck.

Not really. It's not like the 76'ers have won any games.

Nets are ed and their pick goes to Boston no matter what so they'll try to win but 76ers have a double incentive to tank more than the Lakers. Their games against each other will be awesome to witness.

Wasn't there a team with a worse record during the lockout a few years back? The Bobcats?

No he could not. the issue as Amb pointed out is defense, not offense.

Yes, the Bobcats finished 7-59 during the 2011-12 season (.106)

As bad as things look right now, no way we will be that bad. I have dropped my expected win total range from 30-32 to 21-23. No way Byron will survive the year if they are that bad so I expect either some improvement from Byron or a slight bump in wins with an interim coach

Don't see it tbh..Expect Kobe to quit around All Star Break, and they should win some more against other bottom-dwellers in both conference from there on..they will be around 15-20 Games IMO..

    Bettingwise update me.
The Lakers will not get their draft pick regardless?

If it is a top-3 pick, Lakers keep it. Otherwise, the pick belongs to Hinkie.

So the Lakers have massive incentive to tank.
Hence, plenty of the Kirby - Scott combo.

Why did poster say 6ers have double the incentive of Lakers?

I agree, though that win range could be the Lakers' all time worst if I'm not wrong.

because they get the pick if it falls out of the top 3

Oh got it. Lakers do not get pick if it's in top 3. Right?

Sixers going hard for worst overall.

Ya Lakers vs 6ers should be automatic 6ers loss.
It will simply come down to the spread?
