He certainly remembers what happened when the Russian people "got mad as " about Russian kids getting slaughtered in Russia's Afghanistan quagmire in the '80s.
He also remembers Chechens planting bombs in Moscow and blowing people up. But he will say brash things. They will approach it much like we do; Try to find a responsible group and hunt em down.

But bombing is lot cheaper than putting Russian troops into the Middle East.
Russia is spending about 3 million a day in Syria. Chump change.
Difference is US has to overpay to their MIC while Russia accomplishes the same thing at a fraction.

Ppl fail to realize they are only using a handful of planes. Sure they break down but they repair them. Their daily sortie turnout is pretty much at the bleeding edge of effectiveness.
I would say on the contrary, their planes are proving to be rugged as can get with all the mileage they are getting on a daily basis.

The safe pose. He has already struck the "we don't know anything yet" line which is very smart.
Putin says they are waiting for the conclusion of the investigation. It would be in Russia's interest to let the whole thing just go away and then take care of things secretly if possible. Hater does not get this. A big problem is relatives in Russia might act up. And it may become so obvious that the Russians must publically make a move.
Before today his pose can be summed up:
