The Pats one of the elite franchises in pro football history, anyone not getting that doesn't understand the game.
And they've done it without an over abundance of HOF caliber players. No long line of great receivers or running backs, no great defensive studs in abundance.. Those great Packer teams had nine HOFers on them as did those great Steeler teams. Those Raider teams had a half dozen all time greats, look at the 80's Niners, with Montana, Rice, Lott and Craig.
Bill Belichick simply knows how to win football games, and he has a great QB. Could be the best coach/QB combo in history.
