Why should one guys hunger strike be a national story?
Tension's over Ferguson? I doubt that affected most students. How would that lead to tension with white students?
Try to follow the line of discussion instead of trying to impress us every time you read a Federalist article.

It wasn't until the football team threatened to quit.
The poop swastika wasn't a story until the football team threatened to quit.
The student council president being called a n**ger wasn't a story until the football team threatened to quit.
Therefore, your claim that other racial incidents at Missouri would have been national news doesn't hold water.
Given the amount of tension it caused nationwide among people taking sides with either Michael Brown or the police, you seriously doubt there was tension on the closest major University campus?Tension's over Ferguson? Sorry, Darrin, ALLEGED poop swastika
The one that made Carlton go on a diet?
Did you read about that before or after the President resigned?
I learned about all this hysteria on the same day this thread was created.
...then, boom: Expert mode.
Where did I claim to be an expert? Can I not read about it and form my own opinion?
I would call it selectively validating a predisposed opinion.
And like I said, not sure why we always have a need to rush to an opinion on things we don't know much about.
It would be much easier to sympathize if there was more evidence of these racial incidents and if this particular generation of college students weren't who they are. If you're going on hunger strike over phantom poopstickas, you'd probably self-immolate after reading some ST posts.
No need to hunt down the truth before forcing a college president to resign.
I don't understand, do you think this should have been put to a national vote first?
This generation of selective newsreaders being who they are, why do you trust those of us who can only read about it to decide what the truth is more than the students/staff/coaches at the school itself?
Or, I can listen to the words of the actual people involved.
On HuffingtonPost, I was told that I couldn't truly understand the issues at Mizzou until I watched this video.
Apparently, their grievances go back to 1839.
Kinda reminds me of this scene from Wedding Singer

It's obvious bull
These vagrant racist assholes were raised by parents whose parents were also raised that way and so on. They only know violence. They only know terrorism. That has always been these vagabond racist suckers' legacy. This is what America was founded on, I agree Trill. They know it Trill. They aint got Next and that reality keeps them with self-destructive tendencies imhfo so that is a blessing.
