lol Spurs fans thinking this game where scrubs looked halfway decent against a winless team of all rookies means the scrubs are prime time.

LOL! Yeah, me, too! I expected Butler to start. Kyle was pretty weak out of the gate, but overall I thought he did well. I was glad to see it. I posted during the game that Butler is just a pro, building on every performance. He is proving to be steady and reliable. I look forward to his entry into games, expecting something good. I hope Kyle gets to that level sooner rather than later.
Did you have truth cereal for breakfast?
Yep. Austin Daye went off against them too.
Didn't watch the game but I'm curious to know who guarded Okafor and what were your impressions of him in this game?
Kyle didn't go off, he simply played a good all around floor game. Daye was just a scrubby ass gunner.
Best game I can remember from Kyle with the big boys.![]()
The only scrub that was stat padding was Porker & he got benched when it mattered![]()
Where in that post does it say anything about stat padding?
Agreed.. I think because of how he looked in the summer league, there were some expectations there. But he's been very meh early on.
Hopefully he can get it going. But yea, Butler has been terrific. Such a smart player and his at ude seems to fit our team perfectly.
I like Butler just on his own merits. But I also think he makes Bonner expendable. I like seeing the three young guys play decently, and maybe Simmons can get control of his handles to become a decent slasher/facilitator. But if not, Butler's play makes it conceivable to open up a roster spot simply by dumping Bonner.
Yep. Very good thing see. I liked his post-game interview. He talked about it being a pretty big adjustment because he doesn't get reps in practice with the first unit.
We can kind of see how much Manu adds to Patty's value from this game.
but Rique played really well before the 4th![]()
Are the postgame interview up yet? They didn't show a thing on league pass.
Go Nets, by the way.
Bucks beat the Cleveland Lebrons tonight.
It's just one game. I hope Patty isn't as Manu-dependent as it seemed. I like to think he can perform a lot better on his own than he showed tonight. I liked the Patty/Kyle pairing, and I hope they can work well together.
Brief post-game interview on U-verse. Over.
You obviously can't read b/w the lines![]()
If Mills is Manu dependant, feels like Danny is Kawhi dependant too
I hope ppl keep that in mind. For a sop re with very few NBA mins who doesn't play with this unit, we couldn't ask for more. Look at how Danny looked, and he plays with this guys for years. It makes you put his 22 years old in perspective.
Cheers. It'll be up on nba.com/spurs soon.
