The way you guys make it sound, the reason Parker outscores and out-assists Patty is because he gets more minutes. Apparently not, as this season Parker is scoring more PER 36 and assisting more PER 36...and shooting better from the field. AND he plays against first units...
Mills PER 36: 13.9 PTS, 4.4 AST, 48% shooting
Parker PER 36: 16.0 PTS, 4.7 AST, 54% shooting
Edit: Actually, now that I go back and look at it, this is basically every season!
2014-15:
Mills PER 36: 15.8 PTS, 3.9 AST, 38% shooting
Parker PER 36: 18.0 PTS, 6.2 AST, 49% shooting
2013-14:
Mills PER 36: 19.5 PTS, 3.5 AST, 46% shooting
Parker PER 36: 20.4 PTS, 7.0 AST, 50% shooting
2012-13:
Mills PER 36: 16.1 PTS, 3.4 AST, 47% shooting
Parker PER 36: 22.2 PTS, 8.3 AST, 52% shooting
2011-12:
Mills PER 36: 22.8 PTS, 5.4 AST, 49% shooting
Parker PER 36: 20.5 PTS, 8.7 AST, 48% shooting

Come on this is getting old, as of now Patty has a better overall impact, this TP pride parades are not helping and he is accepting a new role so let the Enrique go.
I'm just saying, you guys act like Mills makes so much more of an impact, when every season he produces less in his minutes against second-stringers than Parker does against starters.
I've given up too. Make any pro-positive, anti-Leonard, etc. point in this forum and you get skewered.
Short bus talking about semen, while OP is dropping truth nukes.
MVParker is still our second best player behind LMAlpha
Nah, but it does reflect the general derangement of the krew. You just do the same from the opposite position.
Points and assists are nice for the stat line but there are plenty of other factors in determining who is the better player (not saying Patty is). For instance who plays better defense or who is a better fit with the starters etc. Personally I don't have a problem with how Parker has played, yea his defense isn't good and sometimes the ball movement sticks when he's in but that isn't anything new.
Op's point is even more on point when you consider the fact that Green is shooting worse than Harden and Kobe, while Patty plays with Manu who is on fire atm. MVParker is still getting his dimes![]()
A three pointer is worth more then a two pointer, Porkchop.
Effective field goal percentage.
Patty is second on the team even with his terrible shooting night last night. But he came thru in the clutch.
Parkers improvement over last year is encouraging. Of course all he could do is improve.
What about defense?
Neither is good at it. But we got wing stop.
Well, Tony is a Hall of famer PG with more offensive responsibilities, he better score and assist more per 36 than our reserve PG, tbh.![]()
4.7 APG per 36 is just terrible
That's like 4th or 5th best on the team![]()
Well, it's better than our other "point guards" (Patty: 4.4, McCallum: 1.2)
What does Kawhobe, our max player, leader in MPG, average?![]()
McCallum; dude sucks. I remember people being excited that we gave away a second for him.
Well good think Kawhi and MVPaddy are skilled at other things.
Prker OTOH brings defense and a broke jumper to the table.
Assists are a very hard stat to judge in the Spurs system. Now if 'Hockey Assists' were a stat i'm sure Duncan would have just about led the league for most of the last 19 years but his highest average was only 3.9. Bottom line, Spurs are 7-2 while having only played 3 games at home and you can't gauge a players teamwork based on assist numbers alone as the Spurs tend to make that 'extra pass'. I was wondering when we traded Cojo if we should have traded Mills instead as Cojo is a more willing assistor even though i like Patty more as a player. They made the right decision and even though or PG's aren't true PG's like a Nash or a Kidd they are both doing a very good job. So assists don't mean much in this system because of the 'extra pass' they are praised for.
Kawhi, Manu and Duncan have been our clear-cut top 3 players this year.
