Posting this because it stood out to me.

This is from Nahlin at Inside Texas, who has been backing Strong all season and gets a ton of feedback from current players/recruits and their families.

"I just had an interesting phone call."

"Things are not good at Texas to put it mildly. The mutual parting is the best result for all parties, I'm sad to say."

"Texas firing Charlie isn't the only potential outcome. I think he wants out personally."

As best I can tell, the phone call was a parent saying Strong was disorganized. Im not sure what Nahlin was trying to say with that.

Charlie recruits off his ability to put guys in the NFL.

I'm content to sit back let the chips fall, If he stays, I'm hoping for the best, if he goes, good luck to him and I hope to this time we get it right.

I personally thought something big was up when he made that little slip of the tongue and said Miami instead of Notre Dame after the ISU game.

I love the man, i love what he represents, I hope we can continue what he started, but damn he and his staff suck at football.

Guy has not even finished his 2nd season as football coach nor has even gotten his 2nd recruiting class and he cannot coach? This team is about as young as you can get in college football and it's teams best players are freshman and sop res. Strong not going anywhere, nor should he since the foundation has been layed for this team..

Well maybe, and I'm sure this is how it operates in the real world, you change your ing approach! You sure as don't act like an emo pussy and go to Miami, not when you're making $5 million a year. I know this is all rumor and hearsay on Nahlin's part, but jesus ty ing christ.

That's why these rumors are so weird cause Strong still pulled in a top 10 class with this approach and well probably end up with a top 15 class this season when its all said and done. That's with a losing record mind you at UT...

I don't know that he'll end up with a top 15 class, but I was never worried about recruiting in the first place. I've intimated as much. What I'm worried about is the perception that he has one foot out the ing door, and how it's coming from someone is is/was firmly in his camp in Nahlin. It's weird.

Let me let you in on a secret, since 1977 Texas has been shut out 4 times.

Fred Akers was shut out in 1980 against #11 Baylor 16-0
Mack Brown was shut out in 2004 against #1 Oklahoma 12-0

Charlie Strong has been shut out twice in 2014 to #11 KSU 23-0, and against unranked ISU 24-0.

I don't care who is on the field, there is no way in this team should ever get shutout by ISU.

Don't really care about a shut out, a loss is a loss. Guess the loss to TCU was not that bad since we scored..Also, Give ISU some credit, those boys are playing really well right now. They had OSU on the ropes until the very end and pretty much had the lead the entire game..

LB David Reese of Farmington, MI expects a staff member at his school tomorrow.

If anyone is wondering, the staff would supposedly take both he and LB Dontavious Jackson if they have that chance.

stop, just stop already ...Football team not being up to par past couple of seasons is one thing, but UT football has way to many resources to fall to far behind. Glass half empty UT fans and UT haters deep down know this and should enjoy the present. Baylor and TCU deserve all the recognition they are getting cause there on the field play, kudos to those programs.

At the moment, there are 10 prospects in the 2016 Rivals150 headed to the Big 12. However, zero of those 10 prospects currently have five stars next to their name.

Usually, you can count on Kansas, Texas and Baylor to reel in top talent that can have those schools ranked among the top classes in the country every year. That's not the case so far this year. None of those schools even rank in the 35.
