Love the Big TWO era. Prime Duncan and prime Manu were ing amazing. Would have been a threepeat too if the French cancer didn't go heroball against Dallas in 2006.

True, team just happened to be unlucky on a couple crunch time plays..IMO, 2004 was Detroit's le--just an insane all-time D-- but 2006 was Spurs le but we got hosed by refs in Mavs series before Gino did us in..2003/Finals/2005/2006/2007..That's basically better than Lakers run 2000-2002..

Love TD and Manu. There were the heart and soul of the team in the 2000s. The only two players you could always count on to step it up in the playoffs.

Spurs won three les in five years from 2003-2007. Here's the playoff stats for all the Spurs rotation players in that time period:

Tim and Manu are the only two players with:

    20+ PER
    6+ BPM
    10+ win shares
.200+ WS/48(DRob also qualifies for this but he only played in 2003)

These two guys were dominant - by far the two best players on the team. They were pretty much the Shaq/Kobe of the Spurs. Everybody else was a role player. No idea where the big three nonsense came from. Duncan and Manu were a big TWO back then.

Hard to believe the Clippers went that long without blowing a 15+ point lead, now that they can't hold any lead at all.

How can you say that when we beat them in a 7 game series? Especially since they looked like a sweep until Manu got a thigh contusion in game 3... We could have easily beaten that 2004 team...

Porker was busy getting his ass handed to him by ROOKIE Devin Harris ALL SERIES long. Manu hit a 3 then gave it back, it was a wash & the game went into OT. Tim started experiencing cramps in the 4th quarter b/c he was carrying Proker/Rasho on his back (Porker went scoreless in the 4th quarter).

Rasho never played in that series. That series was the start of Pop being obsessed with small ball. Devin was crap in game 7 he only 2 points.

I know Rasho never played, which is why I said he was carrying him as he had to man the paint all by himself while Rasho was getting paid to chill on the bench. Proker might as well have joined him. BTW..Rasho deserved to get benched b/c he was a big time pussy who made Tiago seem like Rick Mahorn. The series was lost b/c Porker was getting his ass handed to him by Devin Harris along w/ atrocious refereeing & not b/c of small ball

Didn't Porker take about as many shots as prime Duncan in that series - and build a house with his bricks? SMH... another trophy taken out of the case by the French uette.
