Duncan with 10 pts, 10 rebs, 4 assists, 4 steals, 2 blocks. Nice bounce back game for him.
Say what you want about Tony. He plays Tony Parker basketball, and that hasn't evolved to the beautiful game. It's like Tony is trying to learn to adjust to playing with the up tempo offense, trying to fit in, but he's been here all along. His method is to do the one thing he knows how to do, which is attack the rim and take short jump shots in the paint area. He doesn't have good court vision, he telegraphs his passes and he doesn't play defense worth a , but he's a good scorer when hes healthy. He will never evolve to being a high level role player. He doesn't want that.
Outplayed PRIME Gasol. The best free agent bigman was Tim himself![]()
Yet I'm mad. Great logic.![]()
u saw the box score and got upset. you're showing it
Not mad. 18 points and 3 assists is a pretty good game... for a 2 guard.
2 big buckets to seal the game
Thank god Gasol is a loser and stayed there. Judging by how this site is so critical with aldridge, they prolly wouldve offed themselves by now had we gotten gasol instead.
Parker attacked the basket relentlessly tonight. Something we haven't seen. He also took better angles instead of just relying on a quick first step that doesn't appear to be there anymore. Against a defender like Mike Conley, I am really proud of the baskets he produced.
Parker was efficient (6-10 FG), but I still he should be taking at least a couple of 3 pt shots a game and develop that as a known weapon. His 3pt% has been good enough the past three seasons to make it a sensible addition to his shot variety. Aldridge, too.
damn, the last time a ty alt lasted this long as the Kobe4Life great satan one. wouldn't be surprised if it's the same user
I actually found the great satan troll fairly amusing.
This cap locks foreigner troll is really bad though. It and the Stevie Johnson troll are two of the worst at the moment.
Parker would have had more assists if Kawhi and Green hadn't chucked so many bricks. Spurs pretty much played 3 on 5 when both were on court.
Parker was more relentless, and he seemed to take better angles. But the biggest difference was simply that his shots were falling. So far this season he has missed a lot of tear-drops and other shots within 5 feet of the rim that he normally makes. I would love to see what the difference in his close-in shooting percentage is this year. I believe it is much lower. Hopefully he will get back on track inside, and Danny will get back on track from 3. I would like to see Tony take a couple of threes a game - mostly to keep the D honest, but also to develop that skill. Going forward that will be important for the team.
Haha, go back and watch the "Beautiful Game" video (where that name came from):
There's no other Spur in that video more than Parker. His driving is what starts that sequence more than any other catalyst. Lol, Parker hasn't "learned" it...he makes it run.
makes it run
All he knows is to penetrate and kick it out. Rarely does he make a creative pass like Manu/Diaw, rarely does he make the extra pass. He's a me-first player, always has been. And no they don't need him, they closed out the Heatles in '14 in spite of his 0-11 shooting, minimal passing through 3 Qtrs.
Who led the Spurs in scoring that series? Just curious.
Who went against the beautiful game and heroballed in the 4th Qtr of Game 5 to pad his stats/try to steal the FMVP? Just curious.
FkLA totally mad right now.
You mean the guy who closed out the 4th quarter of Game 5 so certain players didn't have a chance to choke away another le (like they did the year before)?
We all learned that a 4th double-digit lead isn't safe in a closeout game. Or did you watch 2013?
Yeah, I'm sure the same team that had dominated the Heatles for three straight games really needed Enrique to put his hero cape on.
Good thing the voters saw through his stat padding BS and gave the FMVP to a deserving player.
