Low-wage workers love Trump — even if he thinks they’re overpaid: ‘He doesn’t take any crap from anybody’
Lower-wage workers love Donald Trump — even though he thinks many of them are overpaid. The real estate tycoon and reality TV star has led national polls of likely Republican voters for months, largely driven by strong support from low-income, blue-collar, church-going voters who are drawn to his image as a “straight-talking political outsider,” according to Reuters.
A recent Marist poll found that 34 percent of Republican and Republican-leaning independents who earn less than $50,000 a year back Trump for president — by far the highest of any GOP candidate.
His message appeals to white working-class voters, particularly his proposal to deport millions of undo ented workers and bring back jobs from other countries that pay workers less than U.S. law permits.
“When they hear Trump complaining about Mexicans and talking about his wall, they may be envisioning a lot more jobs and higher pay for them versus the folks he wants to deport,” said Jared Bernstein, a former economic adviser to Vice President Joe Biden. “The other stuff gets buried under, placed in a folder called cognitive dissonance.”
Nearly half, 49 percent, of Iowa Republicans say Trump would do the best job handling the economy, while no other GOP candidate cracks double digits in that CNN poll.

goddam, Americans are stupid s.
The man speaks the truth tbh.
but why does a wannabe President bother with, stoop to pronouncing on junk culture? That's high level culture for his supporters.
I'm surprised there's nothing on the Muslim database.
Mainly because it's a bull non-story pushed by the same libcucks who actually want national databases for gun owners:
It's important to note that Trump's responses were non-committal. Furthermore, they were clearly in response to leading questions for which the actual phrasing was not provided.Precisely how such a question was presented to Trump was not elaborated upon in the printed text of the interview, nor was what his exact response (not "rul[ing] it out") entailed. Moreover, the portions involving quotes were so exceptionally vague ("do things that we never did before," "certain things will be done") and full of obfuscation, making it impossible to discern even vaguely what Trump referenced. (The mandate of badges for Muslims was quite a leap by any measure.)
While it appeared Trump fielded a question about enhanced surveillance for Muslims and mosques, in no reasonable interpretation of the material provided did he himself suggest that followers of Islam should wear Holocaust-like badges as in Nazi Germany. That assertion appeared to be one fronted by the interviewer and not fairly attributable to Donald Trump. It's true that Trump espoused a position many would deem objectionable or offensive in the little he did say; but the controversy hinged largely on words he didn't appear to have said.

lol plain-talking Trump getting more and more vague every time he talks about this.
he dog whistles exactly what he wants, xenophobic, racist, Muslim hating
Says the libcuck who refers to the president as "The Cool N!gg@."
He's warming up, swinging that big black dig, mocking the Repugs for thinking they can handle Pootin when they can't handle CNBC panels, for being afraid of widows and orphans.
Are you talking about the edited clip by CNN?
http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2015...muslims-video/
It's almost gotten to the point where when I see one of the MSM's articles on Trump or Carson, I think that they've either misrepresented, twisted, taken out of context whatever inflammatory quote.
Muslim Marine Masterfully Bashes Trump by Posting His Military ID Badge: ‘Where’s Yours?’
Sergeant Tayyib Rashid, a veteran of the Marine Corps, took exception to those comments and challenged Trump, posting a picture of his military ID on Twitter with the words,
“I’m an American Muslim and I already carry a special ID badge. Where’s yours?”

Mr. Trump could have won this thing and done a great job for America. Instead, he totally blew it with the stupid Muslim database thing. Now people think he isn't a serious candidate except for some of the sheep on the far right.
"could have won this thing and done a great job for America"
the muslim watchlist (database) and mosque monitoring bull hasn't apparently bothered his supporters, just like Carson's supporters stick with him no matter what hilarious and/or nasty bull he spews.
Seems to me from the video that Trump was talking about the wall while the reporter was talking about the database.
Trump didn't bring it up but he didn't deny a "database", and what kind of his "watch list" wouldn't need to be database. His xenophobic, racist, Muslim-hating dog whistling is conveniently vague, but heard by his white nationalist supporters.
Are you lost in semantics?
From what I've read, his watch list is for the incoming refugees. Still, I think everybody needs to be on the alert for anybody who seems radicalized - even if they are natural born Americans. Any su ious activity needs to be monitored. Look at the Boston marathon bombers - brought here at kids - grew up in America but
The FBI was informed by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) in 2011 that he was a "follower of radical Islam."[187] In response, the FBI interviewed Tamerlan and his family, and searched databases, but did not find any evidence of "terrorism activity, domestic or foreign."[189][190][191][192][193][194] During the 2012 trip to Dagestan, Tamerlan was reportedly a frequent visitor at a mosque on Kotrova Street in Makhachkala,[195][196][197] believed by the FSB to be linked with radical Islam.[196] Some experts believe "they were motivated by their faith, apparently an anti-American, radical version of Islam" acquired in the U.S.,[198] while others believe the turn to radicalism happened in Dagestan.[
Footage was screened of some Muslims cheering in the Middle East on September 11, 2001, but internet rumors about Muslims in New Jersey cheering as the Twin Towers fell were debunked by local police at the time, according to the New York Times and ABC News.
Hope Hicks, a spokesperson for the Trump campaign, did not immediately return a request for more information on the source for the candidate’s claims.
Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop, a Democrat, wrote on Twitter that Trump’s claims were “absurd.”

Trump says "NJ Muslims were cheering 9/11 was well-covered at the time", so he must show evidence of the coverage.
but Muslim-hating dog whistling is enough for his white nationalist, racist supporters.
Trump TODAY wants databases of Muslims
====
"There should be a lot of systems, beyond databases."
Would he put such a database in place as president?
"I would certainly implement that. Absolutely."
He tried in another interview to clarify that position, suggesting a "watch list" for the Syrian refugees admitted to the U.S.
On ABC Sunday, Trump was asked if he rules out a database on all Muslims in the U.S.
"No, not at all," Trump said. "I definitely want a database and other checks and balances. We want to go with watch lists. We want to go with databases."

You need to go by past that quote where he is basically talking about his wall. Don't just pick up statements out of context. And I certainly hope that the FBI is keeping watch lists.
I see you also slurped up CNN's lies as they edited the video.
Here is is the actual quote, CNN edited out the bolded part in their video and someone needs to be fired.
Reporter: Should there be a database system that tracks Muslims who are in this country?
Trump: There should be a lot of systems, beyond databases. We should have a lot of systems, and today you can do it. But right now we need to have a border, we have to have strength, we have to have a wall, and we cannot let what’s happening to this country happen any longer.
Reporter: Is that something your White House would like to implement?
Donald Trump: I would certainly implement that. Absolutely.
its amazing how many reputable new sources have run with CNN's lie without verifying and then retracting. Honest journalism today is a joke.
