Thibs could push them back to the top
For the 3/4 of the season it'd take him to run his horses into the ground, sure.

I'd say you were an embarrassment to Spurs fans if you were a Spurs fan.
You had your fun in the off-season preaching for Jimmer as though you were a Spurs fan. Thanks for the entertainment. Maybe it's time you retire your -talking shtick and let the grown-ups talk, though.

Dang, friend-o... it's only been two days. Surely someone will come to your rescue any minute now. I mean ...your takes are so good! And they don't smack of artificial trollery at all. That's what's so cool about them.

Again, the Rockets are in the same situation as the 2012-13 Lakers. Makes a trade for a point guard, expected to finish w/ the best record in the league, Dwight Coward starts the season injured & new point guard contributes absolutely nothing, fires incompetent head coach who should have never been hired & replaces him w/ Bickerstaff. The difference is that HarDone isn't as good as Kobe thus he won't be able to dig them out of the hole. I hope they hire Pringles but Dwight has beef w/ him.

    2012-12 Lakers: Coach: Mike Brown (1-4), Bernie Bickerstaff (4-1), Mike D'Antoni (40-32)

The 2012-13 Lakers also though Mike Brown was the problem. I can't wait till they hire Thibs & he plays Harden 448 minutes a night until his achilles pops. Daryl Morey should change his name to Daryl Moron

If I were going to rebuild this team, I would start with Frauden and try to see what multiple pieces I could entice from some dummy GM who thinks they can build around this guy.

This is where advanced statistics and Moreyball cant do. Measure the heart, effort, desire, personality and ability to get along with teammates. This is where you make a judgement depending in your scouts as to fit. The Spurs do a tremendous job of not putting cancers in the locker room.

That being said, Morey traded every single one of our pure shooters away.

Let's see 3 of the most advanced metric Organizations:

    1. Cubes breaks up a le team to chase, Paul (choker) Howard (scam artist) and Deandre
    2. Morey: Great drafting crappy development, coaching and planning
    3. Grizz: let's hire Hollinger king of the PER but let's not sign draft any 3 pt shooters ...

    Metrics, metrics metrics!

Point is metrics wont save a bad front office.

    tbh...

Even with Pop sticking around, the loss of Duncan/Ginobili combo of leadership and other stabilizing intangibles will be majorly felt for the Spurs in next couple of years..

5-10...Mchale was not the major problem..just a flawed roster and bunch of gutless "leaders" on that team..they will make the playoffs, but they are 1st round fodder..

A team with no heart that bought into its own hype. I can't see this turned around this year at all. They look done.

they are a horrendous 3-7 at home; bailed out by Brewer prayer or it would have been 8 straight Ls..It is going to be dicey especially with teams Mavs and Suns looking decent thus far..

Who was that ESPN writer that was saying they were the second best team in the west & didn't have the Spurs even in the top five? He's a Suns homer I think?
