20%. Just a guess. Maybe 25%. Post Shaq, maybe higher, but earlier in his career, not as high so it probably leveled out to around 20-25%.
No surprise there though. Since Jordan, the NBA evolved into a star player's league. The vast majority of anointed stars get a very favorable and biased whistle. Not all stars, but most of them. You can ask the same of stars like Dwyane Wade and LeBron James and Kevin Durant throughout their respective careers. Whether you agree or not that a player is as good as he's viewed and considered by the NBA marketing machine, once they get golden boy status, they will get their share of bogus calls.
