    and so it begins ..

    Averaging 5.6 pt/3.7 reb on 48 shooting..

Just read some folks still insisting that we should have traded Diaw instead ..

Loved Tiago, but he is just not a reliable body and youcan't ride on that with Timmy hitting 40 in few months..

This is the reason we got basically nothing but cap space in return, and why they were never giving us Tavares.

But sometimes a cloud has a lining of some sort . . .

I'd rather have Boban as it turns out.

Tiago was an important cog during the spurs resurgence from '12-'15 but losing him hasn't hurt the spurs. Losing Baynes,Cojo,Belli from a depth stand point has hurt more than the loss of Splitter.

The Spurs wouldn't have #5 without Splitter he was a great piece from 12-14. The Spurs miss his PNR defense, his underrated passing, and hard screens. His passing especially went so well with The Beautiful Game the Spurs played in that run. Sad to see he can't stay healthy these days,Atlanta is learning that the hard way.

I don't miss CoJo but Patty has been really bad to start the season. Hope he gets out of his slump because of just how dynamic he makes the bench's offense.

Splitter is so underrated, apart from his defense, we badly miss a roll threat, big part of our offense. All our bigman are average to terrible at rolling to the rim.

Tiago was a bum in 2013 and 2015. Could never stay healthy. I'm glad we have LMA. Hawks did us a solid.

And the defense was better because of a huge part to Kawhi not Tiago.

We sold Atlanta a big hot mess of damaged goods....and on this Thanksgiving I am thankful for that one-sided deal.

Patty is still shooting 40% from three. He's not at his 13-14 level but he's doing well enough that there would be no decent minutes for Joseph.

Pretty much this. Splitter is a of a talent with great size, but if you can't keep him on the floor what good is all that?

Right - the only decent minutes for CoJo would have come if Pop were comfortable running two of Parker-Mills-CoJo to replace some of the fourth wing minutes. Only works in certain situations, but their D probably wouldn't have been much worse than Marco's.

Anyway, CoJo was never in the plans once LMA was a possibility. Couldn't make the numbers work.
