Right now, they would get killed..we'll see later in the year, though..

But the thing is, Durant was close to win a couple of times with a poorly constructed roster because he was the face of the NBA according to Stern/Silver. Unlike the Thunder, the Warriors are a great team and now they have the ref advantage because Silver dropped Durant for Curry. I don't see how can anybody beat that. The only thing we can hope is that the Warriors' FO start making mistakes.

We beat them 2 out of 3 last year, and the loss was on a b2b without a full roster

I've actually never watched the Warriors and thought that there was anything egregious in regards to officiating bias, tbh..nothing comparable to the Thunder or Lakers of the past, or James Harden of the past 2 years..

Seriously, no one should get crowned this early in the season but these two teams clearly are the class of the league with the Dubs looking unstoppable. But that's only for the moment. They have seemingly been playing their A++++ game all season while our Spurs still have much to improve upon...and that should scare the rest of the league, including the Dubs. I hope it won't scare them to the point of making a move by the deadline. If anything, we could stand to make a move by then, but again, we shall see where the teams stand by the ASB.
This season has spurs beating them in the WCF written all over it imo. People will be shocked how well we match up with them, we have the vets and mental edge with them.

Yeah, they are a jumpshooting team, hard to give a lot of bias to a team like that

But they get away with almost anything on defense.

Curry is better than prime Kobe and Pippen, tbh..
Seriously, Curry is transcending into rarefied air right now. He may be the most lethal player on offense I've ever seen, at least since Jordan.

So... how are the Spurs going to beat the Warriors?
"By scoring more points than them" - Greg Popovich

I know it's still early in his career, comparatively, but I really think Curry could be the best shooter to ever play the game. His stroke, his quick release, incredible body control and the ability to create space to get his shot up? He almost always gets squared up, and the rotation on the balls he chunks look like they've been spun by a machine. And he never wastes a minute making a match-up personal, never gets distracted. Somebody puts some wood on him, and he just grins and makes his shot on the other end.

Other players get "in the zone" for a game, or a few games, and they can make shots from the parking lot. Curry is like the old Tiger Woods. He stays in the zone longer than anyone else, and when he's not in the zone he's still as good or better than anyone else.

He did a LOT of specialized strength training to try and get rid of the ankle injuries. Looks like it worked, because he's stayed healthy, and got even better at cutting and stopping on a dime. Curry is going to get his points. The Spurs are going to have to try and make him take a few extra shots to get them, and then prevent the other guys on the team from beating them.

I don't even think it's a question. No shooter is even close to the volume+accuracy that Curry has. If he were built like Jordan.... just turn out the lights.

As it is, I mean, damn, even as small as he is, he just warps the entire court while he's out there. He's like Deion Sanders of offense -- he changes the entire game just by setting foot on the floor.

They usually get the benefit of the doubt on defense as Draymond Green is the biggest hack in the league & Bogut is right up there in that department

Not sure if it's because they're chasing teams off the line and they're shooting better from mid-range, or if it really is a soft spot. The right high key area is where Kawhi has been most dominant from.

Corner threes are real. Green's been better from the right side (left of chart), but they don't do an incredible job against guys from the corners. Not sure why shooting from the wings has been so bad - perhaps people chucking once the Ws are up by 30.

Actually disagree (in terms of getting destroyed). They'd lose right now, but it'd be close. Kawhi and Danny are playing great D right now (helps Thompson looks pretty mediocre) so they'd limit Curry and Thompson. Dubs would win due to chemistry and poor 3-point defense outside the SL. Looking forward to seeing how both teams look down the line.

Also, if worse comes to worst, TP can Curry's wife to throw him off his game.
Curry's mom is hotter. Tony has standards.
