They got run out of the gym by the Cavs who were playing without Kyrie. Wade is done being a superstar, Bosh is overrated, Dragic is a bad fit. They have no chance against a healthy Cavs squad.
PER aside ... I watched some Heat games and I just think that despite his coming out last season Whiteside is an unexpected difference maker that helps the Heat tremendously in the Eastern Conference ...

They also don't have any shooting and their spacing is poor, which hurts Dragic's game even more..
in order for us to beat the Warriors he still needs to improve
The entire spurs team needs to improve "offensively" if they want to beat Golden State, not just Leonard. They can't hide Parker on Barnes anymore like two years ago. Barnes is an excellent three point shooter and post up player now. They have a "small ball death lineup" designed to kill & destroy teams' hopes of beating them. They build 20-point leads so that their MVP Curry can rest in the 4th quarter. Their starters will be well rested come playoff time and their bench is getting valuable playing time.
Barnes already was a beast against Parker in the 2013 playoffs ... now the whole GS team is better
As good as the defense is ... the gap to GS defense does not offset the gap from their offense to ours
What about Parker on Klay? I think I'd rather see Klay try to post up if it's between him and Barnes and obviously I'd rather Klay shoot 3s over Steph.
Kawhi is leading the league in Defense Player Rating I believe. He finished first last year as well. Kawhi is probably the best two way player in the league right now.
OKC is really only afloat through Durant & Westbrook BOTH having MVP'ish season so far. Curious to see whether it will hold up further down the season.
PER is good stat but many on here posted it was overrated ...I wonder why? Kiwi has been great though eye test shows the same glad PER supports the same ... but I do question Blake Griffin above Kiwi ...
but everyone can see what Kiwi brings on defense his numbers on offense is what is impressive here.
Outside of his whining & flops, Blake has been playing great though. He is actually a playmaker nowadays, with nice all around skills, not just a stereotyped monkey baller of yesterday.
Having a player at that high level again would be fantastic for the Spurs.![]()
