Really don't matter what he can do or does, it is all about whether he has gotten over himself. I doubt it, so he'll never be a Spur.
Jimmer needs to stop wasting his prime and go to China already.

If he really wants to play in the NBA he needs to display that he's a reliable spot up 3P shooter (40+%). His 1 man performances just won't work in the NBA but it's great if he wants to just live off of Jimmer Mania on some overseas team.
So that's how this thread has gotten so long... people are just posting for the sake of making it go longer.
For a thread to go almost 100 pages for a guy who was a spur for what seemed to for only a minute is bizarre.
That's only asmall part of it -
there is some really intriguing discussions about Fredette, how basketball is played today, college vs pro
In addition some wonderful philosophical give and take between Chump and Spurtacular..
I encourage you read each and every page- you'll be a better person for it!
Just doing my part to help get this thread to 100 pages.
I kept saying the Spurs didn't give him enough run to make a proper decision.
cmon guys, 1 and a half more pages!
True. The Spurs can really use him next time they go up against Grand Rapids.
Guess I'll join the club.
That's why I'm here.
Oh no, I didn't.
Spurs lost because they can't score in the paint in the clutch, or hit FTs. Spurs need a scorer. Maybe Jimmer isn't the answer, but neither is a KL turnaround airball three.
What's more likely to happen:
1) KL becomes better at clock management.
2) Jimmer becomes a clutch time player for an NBA le compe or.
Choose one.
No one said Jimmer would become a clutch player for a le team. What kind of "intelligent" player or "finals MVP" or "max player" Throws up a turnaround three with 5 seconds to go?
But based on the choices and really no where to go for KL but up, I choose 1. Then again, is a Biddy League Coach coming to the spurs next practice?
There you go
The question you should have posed is Who will be the clutch player for a le team
1. KL
2. Jimmer
3. Neither.
Answer ? 3
I choose 1.
Kawhi has already been a clutch player for a le team, or are we going to pretend 5 didn't happen?
Dude's played 229 games in the NBA. His talent is a known quality, it's just not NBA quality.
Spurs should dump McCallum. He's dead weight. Pick up Jimmer.
Yea, he managed to stick around for four years cos he's "not NBA quality." He was drafted 10th overall because he's "not NBA quality." He put 37 last night cos he's "not NBA quality."
I was watching a game the other night on NBALP; don't remember if it was Spurs-Bulls or Knicks-Rockets or Warriors-someone or what; but they were talking about how whatever team could use a shooter like Jimmer.
The Kings obviously didn't think he was NBA quality as they declined to pick up the 4th year option of his rookie contract. The rest of the league currently seems to agree as nobody is currently offering him an NBA contract.
