When he was on the Magic, he was an absolute monster. The best Center in the game... only Bynum came close. Took them to the finals in 2009 I believe (don't feel like looking it up).

    But then injuries happened...

Then he quit on the Lakers...

    Then more injuries happened....

and now he is a s of his former self, can barely play 30 minutes, his stats are regressing, and he's leading a team to a crazy disappointing season.

He's clearly not that all-time great center everyone projected him to be, but is he a disappointment? Is he still a top 10 center of all time? Top 15?

A lazy, en led Shawn Kemp. Never worked on his game. Not a leader. Definite disappointment.

A really good player whose peak career was shortened by injuries.
    Not great, but really good.
Never developed his game to compensate for his decline in athleticism

Another lazy player that got by on athleticism with subpar skill playing in probably the weakest era of all-time for centers. If he had any work ethic whatsoever he could have dominated this league.

He was never the same after his back injury & surgery... The strangely ironic thing is he tried to play through the pain when his back was first injured and made it worse, making what was probably a relatively typical herniated disk tear open and become a major issue.

Dwight was a better PnR player & a much better rebounder. They are both about equal when it comes to help defense; Zo used to get sonned by old ass Ewing when he was in his prime.

He peaked early and looked destined to crack top 5-7 alltime center, but his ugly overall character reared its head: too lazy and unserious, a certified mental midget and a true man-child..the injuries did the rest to cut short his prime years and lower his ceiling..At 29, he is borderline damaged goods and only third or 4th banana on a Championship team..His next contract will tell whether he actually still care about winning.

He's going to sign with whoever offers him max tbh, ^^^ He has 5 baby mommas (that we know of) to support post NBA career.

most likely.. assuming he opts out or leave Houston (Nets or Boston? Dallas ?)..but if he think championships, he needs to cut his salary and jump to ride Lebron's coattails in Cavs or something similar...

If Dwight didn't burned bridges with LA fans, I can actually see the Lakers offering him a sweet 4yr/max deal, sadly.

He'll get his money tho, teams will throw money at him.
