    I'm sure we will have some really unbiased opinions here. I'd take Duncan but they are both legends.

    It's Tim. Better peak, prime, longevity, leadership, and he's 7 foot tall.

    Lol at the comments about Pop and the FO being the main reason. Or that he was surrounded by great players while Kibe was not. Wonder if those were Kobes posts.

    So now we can safely say after 2 polls that the "casual fan always will say Kobe" is wrong? Even after he announced his retirement, people still don't think he's best of his generation

    I live in Northern California and most of us hate Kobe, especially Kings fans. And there are quite a few Spurs fans like me up here, too.

    The thing I've always found frustrating is that Kobe and his fans seem to take no responsibility for the fact that HE is a major reason he was never in as healthy of a professional environment. He feuded, ball-hogged, and ego-ed his way out of every potentially stable, healthy team he was on. He drove teammates away, belittled them, and played mind games. Being a good teammate is PART of being a great player.

    If this were any other industry, it wouldn't even be a question. If a banker, or lawyer, or consultant was insanely talented but made life around them so miserable for co-workers that he always got stuck with the tiest team members, everyone would agree it was their own damn fault. Kobe is no different.

    FG-PCT:

    Duncan = 50.63% 95th all time
    Kirby = 45% - No Ranking on Basketball Reference

    Agreed.

    Not to mention Tim Duncan's willingness to take a paycut, while Kobe demands $24million is a credit to Tim's completeness as a teammate and player dedicated to winning more than Kobe.

    Tim's totally redefined his game to stay an integral part of a championship team, ranking top10 in the league in RPM even at age 39. You can argue that other guys are better overall but there's no doubt that Tim must be the greatest ever teammate and leader in the history of the NBA.

    Done. The Kobe hate is very strong in North Dakota (12%) and of course, Colorado (24%).
