As a kid it was... it. Now I do all I can to not put myself in situations that could be dangerous. No running to the Mini Mart at 1:30 to grab that last sixer for the night. I stay totally off the roads after midnight if possible. Stay away from "that" part of town if I can.
Being a big guy does matter, I have seen (back in the day) guys.."this is big guy, nay!" Have been able to...."come on guys, turn it down".....with punk kids blaring that rap crap in their ride. Once again seeing that..."this is a big guy, nay!"

I wish it were the case to not need a weapon, but this world is going more and more coo-coo. I dont feel very safe in environments that have a large group of people, starting with work and entertainment. So, its cool to be able to have some control over a horrible situation if someone starts shooting at an event of in a place with a gathering.

I've shot every single type of 1911 on the market. My father owns a shooting range and (as you already know) the 1911 is an extremely popular handgun. I've noticed absolutely no difference in any of them.
Real talk...save the 100 bucks.
