Why do you assume I'm a immigrant?
And no, he wasn't an overrated chucker at any point of his career. That's just your re ed opinion.
nah, i'll admit i misread a post you made about curry being a chucker (you were referencing a previous season). we all make mistakes, some of us man up to them
granted, you tried to shove the credit to the coach and not the player, but whatever that's not what i've been arguing (i also was on record that kerr was going to revamp the warriors offense, which you were skeptical of).
you've been intellectually dishonest about the whole draymond green thing, even in the face of direct quotes, though
Why do you assume I'm a immigrant?

Now you're playing the "tu quoque" fallacy card. You only need to worry about your own mistakes. You think I made one, so you've spent a year yapping about it and now you realize I didn't.
You've not had a single solid basketball take here, everything has been nay saying from misinterpreted or non even read takes I've made. There are plenty like you here who do that, and they pop in to groom their strawman of "Curry sucks" when he has a solid game, and they are no where to be found the rest of the season.
The Warrors lost 2 playoffs series since I started this thread. The 1st was directly tied to Curry's chucking. The following year they lost in the 1st round. Then they get Steve Kerr and he sees the obvious as well, and he makes changes and half a season later SI and ESPN notice it and just like they are doing with Kobe, they start calling a spade a spade, only I was there first.. ME.
Anyone can point out the flaws on a team like the 76ers, but try pointing them out on a winning team when the tide is moving the other direction, when it takes a couple years to prove it.
Because you have re ed immigrant takes.
Yes he was overrated when I said he was, especially here. He was a phenom, sure, even a prodigy, but his coach was running a system that garnered him attention on offense and hid him at the other end. That's how overrated players are made, and they are tested in the playoffs and Finals.
i make mistakes and i own up to them. you make mistakes and look the other way.
i've had plenty of basketball takes in here, and most of them have turned out to be correct (how good curry is, the difference kerr will make, draymond being a really good fit)
you've had bad takes in here... you even said kawhi will never become the player people think he is capable of being in this very thread. you said curry wasn't making his team better and drew an analogy to jeremy lin. as i keep saying, its fine to be wrong, you just refuse to ever accept it
Curry 1st player in NBA history to record back2back games with 40+ pts and 8+ 3pt FGM.
You do realize the US isn't the only country with Internet right?
An overrated chucker doesn't reach the level this guy has reached. You have been proved wrong and you know it. I don't get this obsession you have of trying to cover the sun with a hand. I know you have abnormally fat hands son, but it still can't be done.Yes he was overrated when I said he was, especially here. You own up when I called you out twice and you have no other options. You continue to paraphrase me, have no idea what my takes really were, don't understand how the connect, don't understand the journey, yet you expect me to reciprocate and pretend I'm as sloppy as you? No thanks.
You have generic HS level basketball player fan takes and boxscore watching. The next time you have an original take will be your first.i've had plenty of basketball takes in here, and most of them have turned out to be correct (how good curry is, the difference kerr will make, draymond being a really good fit)
Kawhi will never be the "take over the game" guy in the NBA. He won't ever be the best player in the league. His psyche isn't built like that. He's going to be a solid player, no doubt, but there are too many nights where Spurs have to look elsewhere. I drew the Lin analogy because people thought he was the next superstar in the league. I said he was a good player but not what people think he is. I said the same for Blair. There are too many here wiling to give the keys away to the first guy who has a good game, citing "1st ever to blah blah blah" stat lines that cherry pick specific benchmarks.you've had bad takes in here... you even said kawhi will never become the player people think he is capable of being in this very thread. you said curry wasn't making his team better and drew an analogy to jeremy lin. as i keep saying, its fine to be wrong, you just refuse to ever accept it
Leonard is the best player on the Spurs because of his defense, and his offense is improving as his confidence improves, but he hit his career high at 32 ing points AFTER winning DPOY and a Finals MVP. Tony Parker has a 55pt game. Do you think Kawhi will ever have a 40pt game?
We're the ones that invented it and we're not here talking about poverty-ball so...
He didn't reach that level the season I posted this thread. An overrated chucker doesn't reach the level this guy has reached. You have been proved wrong and you know it. I don't get this obsession you have of trying to cover the sun with a hand. I know you have abnormally fat hands son, but it still can't be done.
DMC is indeed right that Curry is a chucker (his shot selection and usage define chucker), and I agree with his logic that the Warriors might be becoming too dependent on his offensive brilliance. Can the Warriors win a series with him averaging less than 30?
But he's a chucker with big man level efficiencySomething we've never seen before in NBA history, which is why that in' team is so hard to defend.
if i'm understanding dmc correctly he no longer thinks curry is a chucker. so you're saying he's wrong![]()
and i suppose "lol hes a chucker" is beyond a HS level basketball take?
your comments about leonard not reaching expectations was made in 2013... he has surpassed virtually every expectation we had of him at that point
Does anyone here think the Pau Gasol trade between LA and Memphis was balanced? Marc Gasol is a great player. He wasn't a great player then however, and there was no reason to think he would be (LA certainly didn't). So no, it wasn't balanced. It's really easy in retrospect to say a person was great when they weren't at the time. Steph was an overrated chucker just a few years ago. He and Monta Ellis were shooters who took far too many shots and didn't play defense. Mark Jackson didn't change that, just fostered it. It's not Steph's fault because obviously he's adapted to a better way under Kerr and in short order. Still, a few years ago Steph was overrated. Rating and predicting are two different things. If I said the Jazz would win the Finals this year, I would be overrating them. If they win in 3 years, my prediction doesn't become correct. Same with you re s who think there's no statute of limitations on "overrated".
If that's the one you pick from this entire thread, then you've gone into a gold mine looking for dirt.
On the flipside, I can't find a decent take from you, not one.
that was ur very first post in this thread, your most infamous take on this website... not exactly looking for dirt (referring to the curry take)
and the kawhi one is not "the one i picked" there's been others including draymond green
And he subsequently chucked his team out of the playoffs and you fell silent.
i was never silent
You seem to ignore that the Warriors lost because Curry missed like 9 threes in the 4th, up 15, and lost.
are you referring to game 1 against the spurs when curry was 3-8 from the field in the 4th?
the warriors were grossly overmatched in that series, curry was among the only reasons they gave us a scare at all
I just showed you what I am referring to. It wasn't game 1. Look on page 2 if you're using the 100 post per page format.

A box score watcher like you would say Steph was a monster and the highlight reel won't show the truth here. Steph did great most of the game but lost his legs in the 4th. Nonetheless he continued hurling up 26' shots and turning the ball over because it was always in his hands, and he lost.
I'm no longer saying he's overrated. If anything he's underrated right now, especially given how he has willingly bent to Kerr's will (as has the team). His shot selection is better than it was 2 years ago. I don't see that step back 3 from just past half court now and his heat checks are fewer.
yeah, in that game he was 3-8 from the field in the 4th
despite your "he kept launching threes in the 4th" narrative, he only attempted 2 threes

Philo, since you cannot see the in' forest for the trees, here's a summary (it's all you really need to know):
"The assists shows that there's not a lot of ball movement on that team. It's one pass and a shot, or just a shot. The reason the Spurs don't have a single player with a high number of assists per game is because they move the ball around and the assist just happens to go to the last guy who passed to the best shot option. It's not like Curry is creating opportunities for his team.
So yeah, that is chucking, to take 20 shots when you're shooting poorly and you have better options. If you look at the play by play for either game, you'll see some 30ft shot attempts, plenty around 27 feet as well. No legit team plan includes passing to a guy 30 feet from the basket for a shot. That's a chuck shot. Dude is in constant heat check." -DMC circa 2013
And then...
"Last season, the Warriors offense was often stagnant, and it frustrated Jerry West in particular. He couldn’t understand how a team blessed with shooters like Curry and Thompson, and passers like Bogut and Lee, could be last in the NBA in passes per possession.
That was Jackson’s preferred style of play, though, which resembled classic NBA basketball from the 80s and 90s – isolation and pick and roll.
Kerr’s approach has been a stark contrast.
Many first-time head coaches begin their career by mimicking a mentor. Think of Erik Spoelstra in Miami or Budenholzer in San Antonio. But Kerr has the advantage not only of multiple Hall of Fame mentors but also a respected offensive sidekick in Gentry, whom he hired last June. Together, they created what Gentry calls a “melting pot” system on offense.
Watch Warriors games and you’ll see the high-post action of Phil Jackson’s triangle offense, the drag screens and sideline tilts favored by Mike D’Antoni’s Suns (where Kerr served as GM from 2007-08 to '09-10), the low post splits from the old Jerry Sloan Utah handbook, and, most prominently, the motion offense and loop series of Popovich’s late-generation Spurs.
The result is a system in which the only sin is standing still. “Ball movement and people movement,” is how Gentry describes it. The bigs use dribble hand-offs, the shooters curve and cut in a continual churn and everyone, eventually, gets to touch the ball. To Kerr, who had the advantage of watching the Warriors up close as a broadcaster, this was the best way to utilize a roster stocked with bigs who are better-suited to passing than diving to the rim (in particular, Kerr calls Bogut “a witch with the ball.”)" -Sports Illustrated circa February 2015
Here are basketball pundits recognizing what I saw 2 years prior: that the Warriors did not move the ball and that although Steph was becoming an offensive threat in the NBA, it was at the expense of the rest of the team.
Now focus again on some minutiae and come back and Philo again, since you cannot boil down.
Boiled down: I'm right, you're wrong. Deal with it.
Actually...Curry's shot selection is awful......for anyone who isn't him. Curry hasn't disappointed me. He's only..makes you believe in his work. Time and time again, after being down, I thought he would eventually fold or falter like regular players.. 21-0...kept proving me wrong....Curry is a hall of famer.
lol get proven wrong, refuse to accept it, and shift goalposts
