I just stated some facts. If you think the facts make it sound like Ray is a better three point shooter than Jimmer, that is telling. But, you drew that conclusion from those facts not me. Last year, in the NBA, Ray was over 30% from 3. Jimmer was 18%. That's a fact. The other night, Jimmer was 2/7. 29%, in the D-league. Just a couple of facts.
What a terrific thread, OP![]()
Do I have to tell you that 'facts' don't always tell the reality, or do you plan on persisting with the nonsense that McCallum is a better three shooter than Jimmer?

This thread sucks...Shut it down
16 to the rafters.
Not until Jimmer takes his talents across an ocean.
If three-point shooting was all that mattered, Steve Novak would be in the Hall of Fame. Just sayin'.
Haven't seen anyone saying Jimmer should be in the HOF. But a 30 for 30 down the road?
And, it's supposed to be his strong suit. Like Austin Daye. When you can't do the thing that you were most brought in to do, knock down a three, it amplifies all of your other weaknesses. The fact that McCallum is even giving Jimmer a run for his money in the shooting department is really bad news for Jimmer. Ray is NOT supposed to be a shooter. He's a quicker, more defensively minded young kid that can handle the ball. Wasn't really brought in to shoot. Yet, he outshot Jimmer by a long margin from 3 last year, and Jimmer is still chucking 2/7 from 3 in the D-league. In no way shape or form can this be spun as a positive for Jimmer. And, I was someone that was rooting for Daye. If he could have been a knockdown shooter, he would have been intriguing. If Jimmer can't shoot, he's even less interesting than Austin Daye. Daye was 6'11", protected the rim a little, rebounded a little, handled the ball well for his size, could pass well, and had the potential to draw bigs outside. But. He shot 33% from 3 and even that wasn't good enough for a big. Jimmer didn't even sniff 20% last year and he's a SHOOTING GUARD.
Jimmer can't shoot, can't defend, is a tweener. Too slow to guard point guards, too small to guard shooting guards, and is developing a reputation for being a diva. Some think he'll get picked up later in the season when an injury occurs, but who cares. He'll ride the pine and make little contribution. I doubt they're right at all. I will be surprised if he even makes a bench.
I agree. That's the ugly truth. If 6'11" Daye couldn't make it in the league, then a 6'2" Fredette certainly won't make it.
Jarel Eddie is 6'7" and shooting 50+% from 3 in d-league. He hasn't made it either.
Spurs are beginning to realize that you can train a player to shoot a high 3 point percentage (see: Bowen, Green, Leonard) but you can't train defensive ability.
to be fair...Jimmer appears to have gotten above 40% now in the D-league, but how far will that drop off vs NBA compe ion? Maybe he can do it in Italy. Daye just signed in italy.
