I just got into the "Hall of Fame" on NBA 2k16 and I'm trying to get all the way up to "Greatest of All Time". I wish they would update Boban on the game. He could really help with those bull offensive rebounds I constantly give up.
He does a very good interview even with his limited English.
Traveled in the first one, but he was toying with Okafor! Boban could be a very good quarter back for the team.
The second one is something Splitter could never do, dunk on two players.
Traveled but still..

Boban gonna take the NBA by storm
Beast. Already better than Baynes
Boban's impressing me a lot more than I thought he would. I was honestly expecting a really soft Euro.
Boban says he's happy with everything so far and it's great that he can play with big name players for big name coach. He also says that it's different from Europe, cause the pace is faster and the ball moves faster. So far he's happy with his playing time and he just wants to help the team to win.
So all in all everything is fine.
??? He signed a two year deal. While they might give a vet an opt out, I highly doubt they give one to a player who they have to develop. It would also cost them Early Bird rights.
He was 27 when he signed. Going back to Europe would likely be the end of any NBA career at his age.
Boban just went up against two top 3 picks and schooled both. That last jumper against Okafor was just wrong. You can even see Pop smirking on the bench after that play. I laughed out loud when I saw that play. I am sure Pop wanted to do the same. Even Messina was noticeably trying to keep a serious face and Udoka couldn't hide his laughter as he was literally biting his lip.
Say what you want, but the Sixes have come close to winning about 4-5 more games this year and it is due to their frontcourt. Its just their wing and backcourt are complete garbage and that is due to trading away Carter-Williams. So for LMA and Boban to have games like they did is a good sign even if it was against the Sixers. They just got more touches than usual as Kawhi, Duncan and Manu weren't playing.
If you look at the vine, Okafor has his hand on him on the perimeter, facing up. That's an automatic foul call, so, offsetting penalties, the play stands.![]()
He only signed a 1 year deal. The Spurs at the very least are going to offer Boban the Mid-level exception or part of it as it should go up to around 7mil a year next year I believe. I wouldn't be surprise if he signs another 1 year deal (5mil or so) and then signs for a huge contract 10mil a year at least once Duncan retires (which I believe he is going to retire next year).
Boban fits the Spurs system perfectly because of his passing. The fact that you have a Euro coach, SA even has a Euro vibe to it, and you have a bunch of Int'l players, I think Boban is happy where he is right now. I don't see him going back to Europe at this point. He has shown the preseason and even the time he has had in the regular season, he belongs in the NBA.
He signed a one year contract. If the Spurs want to keep him, they can make him a restricted free agent.
This is called handchecking and yes, it is an automatic foul. Okafor pushed Boban off his spot is why he traveled. So either you can the foul, which happen first, or nothing. The fact the game was just a blowout, the refs probably just didn't even bother.
This board really isn't the right place to mention researching lengths...
It's hysterical to watch but effective. The sad thing is he's more skilled than Dwight Howard.
I hope they don't develop him like Ian Mahinmi. When Ian was a Spur, I remember a few good games from him while players rested. I thought he was going to have a chance to really crack the rotation with additional play, but for some reason he never did. I'm not saying Mahinmi would have been great, I was just surprised he didn't get the in-game opportunities, based on his previous games success. I know it was the Sixers, but I think Boban should get an extended look.
Sometimes it seems like the front office wants to hide developing players, especially in contract years.
Ian was his own worst enemy while in San Antonio because he couldn't stay on the floor. He was always in foul trouble. IIRC, the Spurs gave him plenty of time to develop but they eventually had to cut bait.
I'm eager to see more of Boban, such an exciting season with LMA warming up, Kawhi becoming a bonafide superstar, and the BIG secret weapon!
