At this point, Im convinced pop wants to see Green dribble so he can play his way out of the rotation.

Danny Green trying to get a bigger role killed his game.

Probably read too many chinook post
I remember someone who got a contract and did the same and fell in love with a jump shot he worked on one off season, the thing is he went away from what he was effective at and it killed his game and got him out of town IMO. Malik Rose is the player I am thinking of, after he signed he tried to get cute and went away from his scrappy down low game. Some players only can do some things well, the rest needs to just cease.

Bad game but I'd never count out a legend like Kobe. I want to win but I'd love to see him put together a good game for old times sake.

I've always wondered if other Spurs fans feel the same, but after a tough loss to a good team, there is nothing that I hate more than playing a crap team the next game.

It's hard to get motivated to play against bad teams, then sometimes because of it, you end up making the game much harder than it should have been and wasting more energy and effort that you should have. I can't stand playing teams after a tough loss to a good team. I'd much rather play a good team after a game like the one last night.

Kobe's defense is so bad that Danny might think he has a free lane inside lose-lose tbh

Lakers won last season against the Spurs in San Antonio with Swaggy P going off. Expecting the same on Friday.
Last I heard, Swaggy P is being DNP'd by Byron Scott, and the lakers are willing to trade him. I don't think he will get much playing time if he gets the minutes Friday. Byron doesn't like him, remember his comment at the end of last season to the media when he said he doesn't trust his life with certain lakers players because he thinks they would stab him in the back, literally.

Yeah I remember Malik went from just working hard to acting like he was MJ, didn't know it was after getting a contract.

I'd be happier if DG was tossing up contested 3's instead of the dribble/drive that he is absolutely horrible at.

I put this in another thread, but it's worth another mention:

The Lakers aren't just competing for the most ping pong balls in the 2016 draft. They owe their first round draft pick to Philly next year, unless they finish with one of the 3 worst records this season. (Top 3 protected pick.) So if they win too many games, they won't get their first round pick at all. I know LA fans love to beat the Spurs, but they can't afford to lose their first-rounder. Starting Simmons and Boban probably isn't out of the question.

If I remember, the next year their pick is Top 10 protected, and the year after it becomes a second round pick. I wouldn't be surprised to see them re-build (tank) next season, too.

Yep, the unloaded Malik a year or so later at the deadline and got his contract off the books and brought in Nazr. He went away with what worked for him and made him a player for the Spurs, tried to add some jumper and another shot (Forget what it was) but he fell in love with it and it made him a lot less effective. If DG3 stars to fall in love with the dribble and try to score and keeps going away from what made him effective I am scared he will be the same way. I agree with you too, stop the dribble drive stuff Green it is not you and never will be you. 3 and D he is, no more no less. I remember Bonner started putting the ball on the floor too instead of just shooting at times, made me cringe but sadly he was even more effective at driving inside off the dribble than Green is
