Kobe ing up Tammy's and LMA's "stellar" play thus far Kobe ing all the big men on his way out the door.

By changing Bryant’s positional designation, the NBA has therefore significantly increased his chances for an All-Star send-off. Even though Bryant’s play has often been hard to watch for a Lakers team that possesses the West’s worst record, his farewell tour will very likely include a stop at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre for the Feb. 14 showcase.

Harden, Westbrook and Paul are all clear winners, too. Curry’s extraordinary popularity and the Warriors’ hot start virtually guarantee that the reigning MVP, and last year’s leading vote-getter, will be back as a starter this year. Now, the other leading candidates based on merit will get to duke it out against each other without Bryant getting in the way.

There are both direct and indirect losers to consider. First, there are the starting frontcourt candidates. Durant and Davis are probably the safest bets to rack up huge vote totals, leaving the likes of Griffin, Marc Gasol, Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzkiand others fighting for reserve selections if Bryant does indeed claim the third starting spot...

There’s a trickle-down effect on the West team, too. If Bryant claims one of the starting spots, that forces whoever he displaces, like Griffin, to the bench. That’s one less spot for a candidate who is more deserving than Bryant on pure merit. Players like Gasol, DeMarcus Cousins, Damian Lillard, Klay Thompson and LaMarcus Aldridge are all at greater risk of being left off the team entirely if Bryant is voted in as a starter.

Big Dummy, Jim/Kirby/Kareem are tied for the record (15). Jim is the ONLY player in NBA history to receive All-NBA and All-Defensive honors in his first 13 seasons while playing in the Golden Age of PFs. Jim also made the All-NBA team BEFORE Kirby & he just made the All-NBA team last season while Kirby was having one of the most inefficient seasons in NBA history only topped by the current Kirby.

Unless you look at their playoff records & eliminate Kobe's bogus All-NBA D/All-Star selections.

    True.

And even if we go by what Kool posted, that's 2 more awards and honors for Duncan than Kobe.

Kool is such a dumbass. I doubt he reads the stuff he posts himself or he would know.

Also, if he's going to bring up Kobe leading the league in scoring then Tim leading the league in double-doubles should also be taken into account.

    Kobe's bogus All-NBA D
You're right since the all-defensive teams Kobe was on were voted on by the NBA head coaches and not the media. The media obviously know more about basketball than NBA head coaches do.

Yea, isn't that pretty sad? No AS from the Spurs, (as if the Spurs really give a ), and yet were still tearing up teams including your Fakers and Ko . Media gonna put Kobe in the All Star game anyway, since it's his last hoorah. Spurs got they're eyes set on June.
