Kawhi Leonard 4/7 from 3 point line.... I don't think that is even fair.

There were plenty of no shows tonight, but not nearly as many as it appears on TV. They did a great job with the renovation in creating places to be comfortable, and get separated from your money, other than your seat. The concourses, bars, and concession areas are full of people throughout the game. Why people pay good money to go to a basketball game and not watch the game is beyond me, but it's true. It's always been true, but there's more of it this season than I've seen in the last 12 years, and I've attended about 95% of all home games in that time.
That's an interesting observation, from someone who was actually there. Since moving down to the water, I'm not getting to as many games and haven't been this season yet. Lots of people wondering why "all the empty seats". So at least part of it is from people just being out of their seats during the game? I'm with you - I can understand someone having to go to the bathroom, but it always amazes me when they're just shopping. Just like the people who always leave early in the fourth quarter, to beat the traffic.

Yes. But I didn't expect the Dubs to start this well...

As for the how many championships argument, they've only had 1 other legit shot besides the year they ran into a buzzsaw in Miami (Lebron was determined not to lose that year yet again). That was in 2014, and they would have won it had they gotten past the Spurs. Ibaka being absent the first two games really hurt them, and even then the Spurs were very fortunate the series didn't go to 7.

Westbrook was out in 2013, and Durant was out last year.

Before this season started - even after it started - most people expected that it would take a while for the Spurs to incorporate Aldridge into the starting lineup, and to integrate some of the other new guys into the blitzkrieg second unit. I could go back and pull threads, but the general thought was that the Spurs would struggle somewhat early. I don't think anyone thought that would mean a 22-5 start and a 14-0 home record. The fact is, 90% of the people here would be ecstatic with this start if the Spurs had the best record. They've let the Warrior's start make them all crazy-like.

If we get to start playing what-ifs with the playoffs, there are a few seasons I'd like to re-write. Heh... I remember one playoffs when the Laker fans convinced themselves that the reason the Spurs were able to knock them out was that Rick Fox was injured. You play the cards you're dealt, and OKC hasn't gotten it done. Maybe they wear out their super-stars because they can't afford to pay enough other quality players.

Honestly, the current records of both Spurs and GSW are over-rated. Both teams had relatively easy schedules. Look at Spurs, they are 0-3 against top teams: OKC, Bulls, Raptors. Who have they beaten that's playoff bound? Mavs and Mephis? That's it, everyone else are lottery teams. Yeah... Hawks are playing very badly lately.

Records for both spurs and gsw are anything but overrated. Both are clearly 2 of the top teams in the league and legit contenders regardless of schedule.
The losses to bulls, okc, raptors were even very close and winnable games. Okc is still a threat and we should not look past them, but I expect by March the spurs (barring any injuires) to be playing even better.

Three of the Spurs' losses were the second night of B2B's, on the road. OKC loss was the first game of the season. They all count, but those are the games that teams lose. I don't think they discount all the other wins.

I keep hearing about the Spurs and Warriors weak schedule. Just out of curiosity, which teams do you think have had tough schedules? Here's a hint - look for teams that have had to play the Spurs and the Warriors.

True, just like winning the NFC East with a 7–9 record or a 12–4 record doesn't matter, you still won the NFC East. I'm less interested in the 22–5 record as I am that we're the lowly second seed. Worried the Warriors are even going to lose five games. Technically, Spurs still control own destiny since we play them 4 times and we're 4 games behind, but I don't see us sweeping them in the RS series though 3 out of 4 is a decent possibility.
