Red and Paul taking turns ting on Kawhi
I don't think Red even scored on Kawhi. Paul might have scored once or twice on Kawhi.

See, there are things called screens and switches.

yea, why not keep a guy that is perhaps useful against 1 team in the playoffs and not take a guy that is 20X better.... oh yea, cause of picks.

Splitter was good at defending Blake in the past but that changed the moment Blake perfected his mid range shot. LMA can't shut down Blake but his production will consistently cancel out Blake's good games just like what happened tonight. That is something Splitter would have never been able to.

LaMarcus is a better player than TIago

    AND

LaMarcus is more durable than Tiago.

A better player who plays more often > an inferior player who plays less often.

Nevermind the defense, there are times our offense badly needs a strong roller to the rim. Specially when West and Diaw are out there.

Doesn't matter as much when the guy (Splitter) can't elevate and isn't the finisher he was inside 4 years ago. Loved Tiago's grittiness and interior defense a lot but often times he'd disappear when not facing a favorable matchup on defense. There is also the matter of his calves being made of apparent glass.

I don't agree, in pick n roll situations he would often score or find the right pass. He was great finishing those reverse layups, he became a pretty efficient finisher. Just don't ask him to post up, but that would be re ed anyways

I liked Tiago when he was in San Antonio, but it's not even close. Aldridge represents 20 minutes of better replacement play over Splitter and 10 minutes of better play in place of Baynes. That's 30 minutes where the Spurs are simply a better team.

Both are softies. Should have had Bonner there to space the floor. But you cant count on Splitter or Bonner to drop 20+ on the Clippers like LMofo

Aldridge's presence has made an obvious positive impact to the team's defensive effectiveness. Clear-cut and dramatic year-over-year +.

Would rather have LMA than an injury prone Splitter.

We are extremely fortunate to have aldridge. Nothing against tiago, but aldridge is an obviously huge upgrade.

Just look at his field percentage from 0-3 feet from his first season as a rotation player (.764) to last season (.600) and this season with Atlanta (.607). Obviously, all the lower leg injuries and basketball (RS, playoffs and international) is beginning to take a toll on him physically. Plus, he was never very athletic to begin with.

he hasn't been anything close to good with Hawks so far despite playing in quite similar system to 2012-2014 Spurs..Let's face it he in great part a product of Ginobili..

Am I the only one who watches these clips just to see Patty and his towel?
