People weren't at their seats for tipoff but it filled up later. Like Floyd said, seemed like everyone was still pregaming.

Hard to get to games early. Traffic is unreal. Still, it was the Clippers and worth fighting it.

I also hate traffic in San Antonio now. All these new people are stressing out our roads. I'm on the road all day, everyday and it's bad. Real bad. Still, on the bright side, I'm having my best year ever. 85% of my business is from out-of-towners. Gotta make enough now, so I can get the outta here later

Empty seats, the constant meltdowns and infighting with spurs player vs spurs player here on ST. Spurfan have been pretty bad this season.

Traffic? San Antonio is one of the easiest cities to drive in.

So is that new bar and grill only open to the bottom sections? Because it seems like the lower level is practically empty in the first and third quarters a lot of games.

    True to a point.

But I find it easier to get to Staples (and park a couple blocks away for free) than to get to and park at AT&T.

The problem is there are only a couple of small clogged-up streets in the middle of nowhere leading to the AT&T Mecca.

That said, SA is becoming LA in terms of the high-end ticketholders showing up late.

The seats closest to the court are empty at tip-off time.

Look, its San Antonio. Without the rich people buying season tix and corporate sponsors you could be looking at the Seattle Supersonjcs formerly known as the Spurs. Those tickets are paid for. I understand the frustration of seeing empty seats but in the grand scheme of things who cares...

Funny thing is pop, tim, parker, etc would be more upset and disgusted with the garbage that goes on in this forum then the empty seats that they know are already paid for.

AT&T can be a real pain to get out of and yeah, good luck parking two blocks away on the eastside of town, but I can't complain about getting in. I have always found it easier than driving 405 to 10 to hit Staples when I lived out there.

How about if the Spurs offered a burrito for everyone in their seat by tip off?

Early game, corporate people owning the courtside seats (they are indeed sold out), and also throw in the fact that it cost a fortune to see the games, traffic, Christmas shopping, and Star Wars!!

It was full in the second half

It was an early game and traffic sucked in SA today for some reason I guess because of Christmas shopping
Friday night traffic in San Antonio is always a disaster. The last friday night before Christmas when Star Wars and lots of Christmas parties are going on just makes it worse. Problem to me is that it happens on any given night, regardless of the time of the start.

Is everybody standing in line at a food station waiting to get some food and pay for it? If that is the case then it could be solved by having vendors 'deliver' to the seats. It is done in other arenas.

San Antonio crowds are notoriously late for lots of evens, but this season is the worst I have ever seen for Spurs games.

There appeared to be a lot less empty seats last night compared to some of the previous games this season.

Spurs fans for the most part are spoiled bas s.. Reserve the seat for the year, then go to maybe 3 games more so to have a place to go drink beer, and not start really following the season until April.

There were. Friday game against the Clippers will have fewer no-shows than Monday and Wednesday night games against the Jazz and the Wiz.

I've said it another thread. There are no shows to be sure, but the visual on TV is much worse than the reality because so many people are in the upgraded dining/drinking areas of the arena and not in their seats.

They built all new bars and new lounges for lower level ticket holders. They wanted ppl to hang out around at the bars. I think the renovation backfired. Its pathetic looking at those empty seats. Money rules and mgmt put them in to make more cash.
