Lance played 20 minutes tonight and didn't score. Josh Smith only 6 minutes. Their bench is still a disaster.
They wanted to win to prove that series wasn't a fluke, and they got rejected.
Tonight they get nuclear owned by the Lockettes. They're overrated as ever and can't even win a game when giving 110% effort. I don't fear them at all, compared to the Thunder. FTC, though.![]()

It's pretty amazing how bad their bench is right now, considering the moves they made this summer. They looked scary coming into the year. Now they look Prokhorov Nets old.
Bench will matter less in the playoffs, but the fact that they blew their load on Spencer Hawes and never tried to get it to work out was a massive failure. They then spent this offseason adding Pierce's corpse and Lance, when they could have found a way to get a Channing Frye type. Imagine how much scarier that bench unit would be with a floor spacing big, or if they could use one to spell DJ in hack-a sequences.
Coaches also need to let the bench get run and not hack Deandre. Force them to run Austin/Jamal/Lance ISO ball and minimize CP/Blake rest.
I dont always agree with OP takes but this is a truthnuke also Uncle Tom is a whiny POS.
Niccas were missing the shots they didnt have a problem making last night.
This. Their bench didn't improve at all, despite their offseason moves. And they're still getting nothing from the SF position. Wesley Johnson and the corpse of Paul Pierce are not the answer.
I did not keep up with their off season moves and was really surprised to see who they had coming off the bench. Their bench play should and needs to be better, but I do not think that will happen. They are a dark-horse team that will end up with higher seeding with the bottom half barely being above .500. They may give the Spurs a headache in the playoffs but I am confident the Spurs can and will beat them if they match up.
Regression to the mean. Those clowns couldn't miss last night until the 4th quarter.
2nd night of back to back
A bench with Austin Rivers, washed Jamal Chuckford and Pierce, Josh Smith, and a broken Lance Stephenson was a failure from the beginning. Casuals will see those names and think that the bench would've improved but it didn't. They're all volume shooters, so expect one of those clowns to catch fire one game or two throughout a 7 game series
Their 4th quarters are laughable.
And considering the way the Rockets play defense, i don't think those shots are any more difficult than they were against us the night before.
Who would have thought that Matt Barnes was the real solution to their SF issues.
I am just watching the Clips Rockets game and its still mind-boggling that Doc did not pull his starters earlier in the 4th quarter ... they have OKC on Monday
Sorry to bring this up but the ers did beat us last year. And they have players that seem to hit bull shots against us. We'll see how we go should we meet again in the playoffs. They bought in some dinosaurs like Pierce, meanwhile Stephenson and Smith suck. It's basically Griffin, Red and Paul on offense. Jordan can't score unless he gets a open dunk or alley oop from Paul or Griffin. We should take them in a series. But we shoulda taken them last year also grr
I still think they had some help last year due to the racial stuff their owner caused. But we en lost and that's history.
Tiago and Tony were hurt, and Kawhi, great as he was, disappeared the last few games of that series. In the end we only had Tim to lean on, and he damn near beat them.
I think with health, Kawhi's growth, and LMA (who they have no one to stop) we should take them this year.
That's the plan, it wasn't a bad series to watch especially with Tim putting the team on his back, even Jordan's free throws can make for hilarious TV. Tim was brilliant last year, we just couldn't get over the line. They have the same team and we have an improved Tony, Improved Leonard, improved Bench, same TD, all star Aldridge, and Boban the Barbarian. And as Pop says 'as long as Danny stops sucking' lol We'll take them should we meet again

They played over their heads, and essentially beat us by one ing shot over seven games.
it is getting annoying..this pattern of them looking like world beaters against us and some choking chumps against everyone else..freaking Housdon has been owning them recently..I don't think they will beat us again in the playoffs but Spurs would want no part of 6/7 game series before a potential Warriors WCF..Also, you wouldn't want to risk be the first team against which Chris Paul breaks his 2nd round hex..
coming from a B2B against the Spurs, this thread does not make sense
... and with HCA and game7 on their home court. Pop's hackathon and KL's turtling were enough to lose the series.
If spurs had parker of this season in that series, I really like our chances to take it in 6. I mean kawhi didn't have his best game against the Clippers this past game and parker took over and carried us home. And of course aldridge is an upgrade over splitter.
