That deadline, she was asked, is the end of the 2016-17 season?
“Yes,” she said. “Not this season, but the end of next season, which will be the summer of 2017.”
Jimbo should have never opened his mouth on a timeline..but then again glad he did..he's proven to be a blabbering idiot making such a declaration from the start....
The worst part is the way they both pander to Media. It's akin to the way the Browns pander to Media with Manziel. They have no confidence in the situation, no self confidence, so they go to the initial source looking for "understanding" and tell them everything.

Those two are the best part of the Lakers. They are an albatross of the order of Jerry Jones or George Steinbrenner. Only chance LA has is for Silver to step in and force a Colangelo type hire like he did in Philly. Lakers have too many lawyers for that to happen though.
