Welp I don't want to either but we can't afford to beat the Deadskins now and be 5–11 and fall behind the 4 win and some 5 win teams
Cowboys would be stupid to not keep Hardy for at least another year so long as their plan is to win a Super Bowl with Romo. At least keep Hardy until Gregory gets good/consistent at pressuring and sacking the quarterback. Lawrence is already borderline elite, but Gregory has a ways to go.
Lions won today, good news for Cowboys. Now just need 2 out of 3 of Niners, Ravens and Chargers to win a game in the next two weeks.
Breaking News: Jerry Grows a Brain!!
At age 73, this is quite a revelation in mankind:

Dez shut down, Turbin to start over Run DMC. Full tankage
Moore looks OK, but he missed some relatively easy short throws.
Moore sux. He's young. It's okay, we'll be back next year. Romo will be 100%.
Cowboys move up to #4 in draft. Tank one more game.
There's an outside chance we fall below the Niners, but a lot of games would have to go their way this coming Sunday.
Robert Nkemdiche for sure... we need a stud 1-DT... but could we get him later because he's another pot head who recently got so blazed that he jumped out of a window? I'd like to draft Ramsey or Hargreaves with our premium pick and Nkemdiche early in the 2nd, if possible.
Goff made his case for getting drafted by dem Boys yesterday. Then we need to draft the Heisman trophy winner in the 2nd round. Romo successor - check. Bruising runner ala DeMarco Murray - check.
Casper the Friendly Ghost still starting at 1-Tech DT? Check.
Barely Cares Church still starting at SS? Check.
Wasting our premium pick on one of the two mediocre QBs while Romo is still elite is SO ING STUPID. Any casual fans supporting this deserve to root for the ans or something. Our BIGGEST need, as currently constructed, is addressing the fact that our elite pass rushers struggle to find the quarterback because they're constantly going 3 on 5 to traverse a huge pocket because we have a complete zero at 1-Tech who isn't even a 1-Tech and definitely is too weak to be in the NFL. I think Ashawn Robinson, the Alabama Teddy Bear, is that guy in the first round (particularly if we re-sign Hardy) -- but he probably won't go in the top 12-14 or so, so we trade down for their 1st and 2nd to a quarterback needy team.
Our SECOND BIGGEST need is strong safety, since Byron Jones is very good at FS but that other guy is just atrocious and blows more tackles than a zombie. Jayron Kearse is that guy in the 2nd round. I see him being the next Kam Chancellor or better at that 6-4 frame (but still very quick and smart and a huge legacy). Then, we can shore up the running back position. I think we can trade down to some quarterback needy team in the 1st, so we get their 2nd and ideally we're able to get both Kearse and Derrick Henry. McFadden and Henry = the 2014 running boys are back in town. Finally, we can draft a project QB with size and an arm in the 3rd round, draft backups including a WR in the later rounds, maybe a backup LB late, and call it a draft.
Look, up in the sky...is it a bird? Is it a plane? No - it's super dumbass fan! :lol
NEWSFLASH: The last time Dallas drafted a DT with a top 5 pick was Russell Maryland 24 ing years ago asswipe. We had the opportunity to draft Sharrif Floyd a few years back. We could have drafted JJ ing Watt and we passed (although T Smith is arguably the best LT in the game so it's moot). I'm down with addressing the trenches, I just think Jerry won't do it and the lack of a quality backup QB cost us our season. If Cassell or Moore are our backups, we're ed again when (not if) Romo goes down.
We just drafted Byron Jones in the first round. He'll be our FS with JJ Wilcox and Church battling it out for SS spot - for better or worse. That Kearse dude sounds good, but I highly doubt Jerry drafts him.
We are 12th in total yards defense and 5th in pass defense. Jerry will point to those stats to justify not making too big of a shakeup to our defense. We were not that bad. It was our putrid Romo-less offense that doomed us.
I wouldn't mind getting Treadwell to be our #2 WR if he's available, provided we can still get a quality DT to push back the line, make QBs move around and command double teams (even if he's not a sack machine) because that will allow Hardy, Lawrence, Crawford et al. to actually get to the quarterback instead of *almost* getting there and *almost* stopping big conversions. Anything to replace the damn marshmallow in the middle that is Nick Hayden.
That Robinson dude (#86) from Alabama could be our new Warren Sapp. He from Fort Worth too so I sure the Cowboys know all about him. He's 6'4", 315lbs, quick on his feet and strong as an ox. I almost felt sorry for Michigan St RBS last night. They had ZERO rushing lanes.![]()
Reread the post I wrote a couple days ago that you lambasted and berated.Robinson (pick 10-15), Kearse (pick 36) and Henry (pick 42-47, our reward from the trade down) were who I wanted all along... yet idiots will continue to cliff jump over 1 snake bit season and demand we waste our premium pick on Goff or Lynch even though he won't see the field barring another Romo injury for a few years... and other morons will demand we draft Myles Jack even though Marinelli plays 4–3 and we have 3 perfectly fine LBs plus a pretty good young one we haven't taken the bubble wrap off of yet...
My bad
Hadn't seen Bama play this year all that much (they're boring like the Spurs - but they win). Their D-line is the truth. #93 (forgot his name) is a player too.
I'm with you now. I will be surprised if they go DT with a premium pick. They should though.
Read my post again. I said trade down... no reason to waste the premium (top 4) pick on your DT when you can get him around 10-15 and get an extra 2nd to boot...
4th pick guaranteed unless Chargers lose in Denver (unlikely with NE loss).
If we keep the 4th pick, I definitely think Treadwell would be the best selection... otherwise we trade down and pick our DT, then go SS and RB in the 2nd round. As long as we don't waste the premium pick on a QB, OL or LB (not positions of need) I'll be happy
I heard we could get the #2 pick, is this a possibility?
Chargers lost. They get 3rd pick, Cowboys 4th.
BTW, if Saints fire Payton, Cowboys should make a run at him.
