As long as the Spurs hold on to the 2nd seed then they would only have to play one of those teams (OKC/Rockets/Mavs/Clippers) with home-court advantage (16-0) before facing the Dubs.

    Most likely:
    Dubs
    Spurs
    OKC
    Clips

...then it gets tricky (Mavs/Rocket have had the easiest schedule & Grizz have had the 7th toughest) but:
    Rockets
    Mavs
    Grizz
    Jazz

    So
-Dubs/Jazz (have held Curry in check twice)
    -Spurs/Grizz (no comment)
    -OKC/Mavs (Dirk owns Ibaka)
-Clips/Rockets (MOST RELEVANT to the Spurs: kill two birds w/ one rock & they would have to beat the Dubs if they are to play the Spurs in the WCF)

Not really scared of the Mavs (bunch of spare parts & Dirk's legs are going to betray him in April plus no Monta) so it shouldn't be a concern if the Grizz pass them up for 6th seed (they actually give OKC trouble in the playoffs)

As long as they hold onto the 2nd seed (4.5 gm lead), the Spurs just have to beat OKC's two man team w/ home court advantage before facing the Dubs who might have to play the Clips in the 2nd rd. Just pray to Santa that the Clippers hold onto the 4th seed; OKC can take out the Rockets if they fall to the 6th seed.

    Happy Holidays!!!

Mavs-Grizz- are all more than capable of beating OKC. They're much inferior talent wise but they execute better. 2nd seed isnt too bad. You just gotta hope one of OKC or LAC is in the other bracket to weaken the warriors before the spurs play them in the WCF.

Spurs and OKC are locked into that 2/3 matchup, which means Spurs lose.

OKC keeps losing to Eastern conference teams but since they play in the West they should be fine. The Clips are the opposite but I don't think Dirk can sustain his play & the Mavs schedule is going to be brutal so the Clips are most likely the 4th seed esp. since Rockets also have a tougher schedule than the Clips along w/ being 1.5 games behind.

Yeah I think LA gets the 4th seed. Eastern teams are really well coached. Detroit-Orlando-Atlanta-Boston would all make noise in the west against OKC and LAC.

I was hoping the thunder fall fourth and LA third. I think OKC is going give the warriors a lot of trouble.

OKC doesn't have post scorers to expose the Dubs, Kanter couldn't even guard Derrick Rose so he's unplayable against the Warriors. OKC/Clips will both lose but Blake can wear out Draymond in the post & Paul will make Curry work on defense.

That's a 2nd round loss, tbh. Which will force me to root for the ing Warriors again because I hate the Thunderefs worse than ISIS and couldn't stand it if that gloating "King" James got another ring.

i thought we could make a push for the top SEED seen that the Dubs and Curry have comedown to earth a bit, but it doesn't seem like it..we are going to lose too many of those close games due to chemistry issues..

I've been saying it since the second week of the season, if we have to play OKC in the playoffs we're toast. But other teams might be able to take them out for us, like the Warriors and MAYBE even the Clippers if they don't choke again.

Spurs will beat those first 3 scrubs, but they'll get tired no doubt. Houston won't miss the playoffs due to 8-15 being sooooo ty.

that was an amazing finish game, but we got very lucky. That kawhi miracle block, Tim getting a) the benefit of 2 calls in OT and b) a ridiculously lucky bounce on an awful turnaround shot ... won't happen again.

They traded away Reggie Jackson from that squad so OKC has one less Spurs killer, Dion Butters. Porker was ty in that series even before gm 6 & the Spurs blew them the out in Gm 5 w/ Ibaka in the line up (OKC got blown out in all 3 games at SA). Once Pop figured out Durant couldn't guard Diaw, it was checkmate.

I think Jackson was playing injured that game. But the biggest thing is that Fisher is gone. Just means more FTs for Durbeta and West .

Spurs having homecourt neutralizes the ThunderRefs as it has been proven since 2014 w/ Kawhi in the lineup

Kawhi was our starting SF in 2012. The refs are going to be huge factor on their side even in SA. Chesapeake is just a different level of hole though.

Yeah, Rockets won't beat this team rolling on full throttle.
OKC lacks depth and they have a new coach that still lets them hero ball.
Spurs have Golden State's number, the wings to stop theirs, great 3pt defense, rim protection that is needed to stop their underrated inside baskets that casuals haven't noticed yet, a PF to expose Green like Monroe did, better bench etc etc

Cleveland on the other hand is dangerous. Kyrie is a proven pain in our ass, him and J.R are the definitions of monkey ball. Thompson will expose our short frontcourt in the bench, Love was a Tiago killer who knows if LMA will do a better job on him, oh and they have Lebron
