OrangeBloods says he'll take an unofficial to UT before National Signing Day.
He's said for a while he won't use his officials on in-state schools.
I swear, it's starting to come down to Texas just needs to offer as much for our assistants as we do for other teams Head coaches.
5 million for our head coach, Coordinators get 2 million each and all other assistants get 1 million.
Seriously, if that is what it takes to keep our talent so be it.
24/7 says he will be in Austin on January 16th.

Devwah Whaley's UA interview:
Eric Cuffee, Whaley, and Delance are all scheduled to announce at the UA game. All 3 are expected to commit to Texas. If they all commit, that'll give Texas a lot of momentum going into that big Jan 15th OV's weekend.
I'm more comfortable with Whaley and Cuffee committing to the Horns, but Delance has me worried.
FWIW, Inside Texas says there's nothing to this.

ORLANDO, Fla. - Offensive tackle Jean Delance (North Mesquite, Tex.) still plans to announce his college choice Saturday at the Under Armour All-American Game.
Michigan, LSU and Texas are the finalists.
The Crystal Ball reads 50-percent for Texas, 20-percent for Texas A&M, 15-percent for Michigan, 10-percent for Oklahoma and five-percent for Alabama.
Delance still plans to make his final choice New Year's Eve night when he meets with his mother and grandmother in their hotel room on the day they arrive in Florida.
"That's the main goal," Delance said. "To see how I'm feeling from there. She's going to put all her pebbles on the table and I'm going put all of them. We are going to duke it out and see what's best for me."
Delance shared his latest thoughts on his finalists heading into his choice.
LSU: "(Tigers offensive line) coach (Jeff) Grimes need help at the offensive tackle position. He said there's an immediate chance to come in and start at that left tackle spot."
Michigan: "Coach (Jim) Harbaugh. They treat me like family. They already have that No. 1 class. They have that set up. It's what they are going to need. They're still three or four four-star guys on the board that they are going to get that I know of. So I mean I just trust it's going to be a No. 1 class and they are going to be back on top next year (and be a) playoff team."
Texas: "Coach (Charlie) Strong, we have a good relationship. My mom likes him. It's not too far from home. At the end of the day you still have to do what's best for me. I have a great relationship the whole staff. You have to foresee it at UT. That's all I have to say. I talk to (Malik Jefferson) all the time especially since he's on break. We just hang out and chill. We have a great relationship."
What will he base his decision on?
"Distance is not a matter. It's playing time. Family-oriented environment and a great relationship (for that staff) with my mom and grandma," Delance said.
The four-star recruit is ranked as the nation's No. 10 offensive tackle and the No. 15 prospect in Texas in the 2016 class by 247Sports.com Composite Rankings.

Went to high school with his dad Kevin. Good man.
Aldine Davis LB Jeffrey McCulloch. I'm a big fan of his play, obviously, but this interview impressed me. Well-spoken, pretty informed and straight forward.

His last quote, regarding a package deal with Dontavious Jackson, is interesting: "Oh no. In fact we added a couple people. But we'll keep that hush hush because some are commiting this weekend".
Who's committing this weekend that are considering his/Jacksons final options? Delance has Texas, Michigan and LSU as his finalists. Cuffee has Texas, A&M, TCU and Oklahoma as his finalists. Whaley has Texas, Arkansas and Georgia as his finalists.
The Good News that Higdon has been referring to that will help with recruiting has been decipher, it's a contract extension .

update on DT Stephon Taylor from TFB
– Stephon Taylor: There is a lot of concern about the defensive tackle position and with Ridgeway leaving it becomes that much more important to bring in some potential instant impact DTs. One of the guys that doesn’t get talked about much is Stephon Taylor (New Orleans, LA). Taylor has already (unofficially) visited Texas and has a strong relationship with coach Haley.
I came across some excellent news for the Longhorn faithful yesterday. I spoke to a source close to Taylor last night and was told that Taylor will take an official visit to Texas in January. He also has a trip planned to South Carolina. I was also told in no uncertain terms that Texas is his current leader.
We badly need him. Our DT situation is desperate.
I really hope that's true. I think he's possibly the best DT on the board.
Scout said the other day they didn't think there was much going on with Taylor.
They can extend him all they want, as long as they're not adding a bunch of guaranteed money.
His contract is already loaded.
What a disaster that whole deal was? He's not even here anymore.
Everyone's favorite college coach in the NFL just got fired by the Eagles. Let the Aggy rumors begin 3..... 2..... 1.....
