Sigh, here come the Johnny come lately bandwagoners. Folks, please don't mess up this treasury with your crap. #ceperez
Who knows. Maybe he's got a small penis? If he had one to match his size he'd be backing guys in quickly after a quick surveillance of the court around him. He'd be looking to score dunks every time he has the ball instead of soft floaters (which he's good at, but still).

Yo, head... if you go back and check the offseason threads, I was screaming for the Spurs to sign him when 99% of you had never heard his name. And your first comment in this "treasury" was about his ears. So don't act like you discovered him waiting tables and put him in the movies.
Bottom line, you of all people shouldn't be talking about Johnny-come-lately's ing up the neighborhood.
He leads the class in scoring per 48min:

Maybe you didn't look at the threads about him prior to the treasury.

How the do the Spurs get a guy like this for only 1.2M?
-every other FO in the NBA
Appears that Boban has a pretty good work ethic. He wasn't drafted, but he's worked hard to improve his skills. Really coming up from nowhere to become MVP for a couple of seasons in a minor European league. Read somewhere that the Lakers were also interested, but Boban saw the advantages of going under the Spurs system. Spurs also have a much better reputation for European players compared to other NBA teams.
There may be luck too in that the Spurs may have targeted Tavares with the Splitter trade. If Hawks had given his rights then we wouldn't be seeing Boban in a Spurs jersey.
Finally, you cannot discount player development with the Spurs. The best in the league in creating a player out of a nobody.

Now for everyone's viewing pleasure. Dishing out punishment on the wolves:
Here's one with his defense and rebounding highlights as well
Actually the top two teams in Serbia have faired very well of late in the Euro Cup. Serbian League isn't as good as the ACB or Greek leagues, but its right there with the Italian/Turkish league, which is a tier below. It was rumored that Barca wanted to sign Boban this year as well.
Boban was the MVP of the Euroleague tournament last year, Serbian League Finals MVP and the 3x Serbian league MVP. Reminds me of Manu accolades before he came over to play for the Spurs.
Boban has proven he can play against starters as well.
I find it funny how every time Boban got the ball, especially off the PNR, nobody picked him up. This has everything to do with how well Boban passes. Everytime he touches the ball he always fakes a pass or is looking to pass. I guess the T'Wolves were bent on not giving up the 3 ball to the Spurs as they guard the 3 pretty well last night. They kept biting on Boban's fakes and he had a lot of easy buckets. Once Boban learns to master rotating and hedging the PnR on D, he is going to be awesome player. He has already improved a ton in that dept. since the preseason, but I still see areas he still needs to improve.
After seeing his 3 point stroke, this isn't a LOL matter anymore![/QUOTE
I love Boban but still LOL..Please don't compare Kyle Anderson to MJ if he hits a jumper ok?
How tall is she, 6'2"?? lol
MJ? Wrong comparison, Larry Bird. Same height, can't jump, slow as molasses.
Yeah agreed, please don't compare Kyle Anderson to Larry Bird or Boban to the greatest euro center ever. Boban is Boban which is bloody fantastic...cheers.

12/10 IMO...
Thanks for posting. Didn't want to download the whole game just for the Boban highlights.
Article on Boban in ESPN

Some quotes:
Danny:
We've seen what he can do in practice," "He's getting better and better each day. He's obviously a big guy. He's really a gentle giant, and he's always apologizing. I think he's getting more aggressive now, being more physical, taking the ball from people, moving people out the way, and finishing inside. He's always had good touch. But it was just [a matter of] him catching the ball and being assertive.
"It's interesting to see him do anything," "Anytime he's in the game, it still surprises me. I get excited anytime he dunks the ball without jumping, or blocks a shot or how mobile he is. I think it excites the crowd, too. He's a fan favorite already. Anything he does at his size I think is always pretty exciting and interesting."
Messsina:
"He impacted the game well in both stretches he played," "I think not only with his game, but also because he got the crowd involved. He got teammates involved. Also psychologically, it helped him. I am very happy. When he started playing at the beginning of the year, he was more of an attraction. Now, people understand that he is a valuable basketball player that of course has a lot to work on, but he also has some upside in his game. He is one more player we can trust and rely on."
West:
"I think people look at his size and sort of think he's a big stiff," "But Boban's a of a player." Marjanovic "gave us a huge boost" with "just his IQ and his size."
Boban:
"I try to be useful," "I try to help my teammates, and they help me with the offense," "It's good. We play together, and they use my height, and I feel comfortable when I go out on the court. I'm very happy because I'm a part of this team."
My dumb ass was at the game and went on a restroom break and reloaded on beer during his 8-0 run. I was pissed that i missed it.
You should have known better. The best time to watch the Spurs is when the 2nd team is on the court.
The starters have been a walking disaster since the start of the season.
