Not a fan of the Vanilla porters personally, but the food sounds delicious.
Slow cooked chipotle adobo short ribs and a ballast point victory at sea coffee vanilla smoked porter. After lunch moving to ballast point grapefruit sculpins. Going to be a good day working on the house.

Neither am I, but this one is pretty subtle. And yeah the food is amazing. First time I've done short ribs with chipotle and will definitely do again.
I love Vanilla Porters - just can't ever find Ballast Point Porters. Love pretty much all Ballast Point - especially the Sculpin.
Did you try that Southern Tier Choklat yet?
Breckingridge has a vanilla porter thats pretty decent as far as vanilla porters go.
I go to their tasting rooms quite often, the limited edition batches they make are unreal.
Two ow of my favorites right now are from garage brewery in Temecula, CA. Not sure you guys would see it out your way but pick it up for sure if you can. Their hatch chili IPA and mango hefeweizen are so damn good, and I don't like hefs one bit.
Anyone know if I can get some Parabola in he SA area. I'll probably swing by Specs and Central Market next week, but just thought I'd ask.
I finally got some Victory at Sea and really liked it. Seeing it a little more now. Got some Pliny The Elder which is great too.
Just got my allotment of 2015 St. Arnold's Pumpkinator so between that, my Whole Hog Pumpkin Ale & Southern Tier Pumking/Warlock I am looking amazing for the next couple months
Also have a Founder's KBS on the way and a few St. Arnold's Bishops Barrels coming too.
Rebel Rouser Double IPA
Let's talk about root beer since I don't consume alcohol. I'm assuming all those fruity IPAs taste like vanilla flavored root beer?
I've seen it but I haven't tried it yet. I have a buddy that likes it too. Currently my favorite double is Odell Myrcenary. My local draft house has it on tap. Outstanding.
Have you had the Stone "Enjoy By" IPA? Very good
It's not bad for a nationwide beer IMO.. 8.4% is decent
Scored some Lagunitas Brown Shugga at World Market yesterday. Guess they released it for winter. Stuff is damn smooth for almost 10%.
Been drinking a lot of Racer 5 IPA lately. Just a great beer.
Tried Resin Double IPA tonight. Very good double. Good balance of hops and citrus and the alcohol is hidden will for a beer that clocks in at 9%.
My local draft house just got Tenfiddy on tap. Great ing beer.
You ever had their Hop Rod Rye? If you like hops this is amazing.

Racer X too son
It's good, but I'll take La Muerta from Freetail over it any day, or Sputnik from Austin Beerworks. Oscar Blues is opening in Austin this next year FYI.
Really? Hopefully that means I can get some "Death By Coconut" then.
Enjoy By is always good, provided you like Simcoe hops.
This is the best Pale Ale I've had by far.

I like Hoppy Birthday and Nelson a lot too. You had the Peppermint Victory at Sea? I've heard good things. I got a 6 of Dorado earlier since i'll be at home all night.
Haven't seen the Peppermint Victory but I'll be downtown this weekend and will try and stop by to see if they have it on tap. Dorado is a bit heavy for me.
Picked up couple of these yesterday and they are pretty damn good especially when its cold out.
You tried the freshly squeezed from Deschutes? Unreal if you can find it on tap.
