Pity post, tbh.
Kobe (knee) plans to play vs. Hornets in final visit to Charlotte
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant played with a sore right knee in Sunday's 112-96 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, but he said he plans to play Monday when the Lakers face the Hornets in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Monday will be Bryant's final game in Charlotte. He has announced his plans to retire after this season, his 20th in the NBA.
"I'll definitely be ready to go," said Bryant, who scored 19 points on 6-of-15 shooting against the Grizzlies. "Those cities we only go to once. I'll be ready to go."
Bryant, 37, said his sore knee started bothering him only recently and almost kept him out of Sunday's game against the Grizzlies.
"Honestly, I wasn't going to play," he said.
But Bryant said he saw an excited mob of fans gathered at the team hotel in Memphis as he boarded the team bus.
"I felt really, really awful about [the idea of not playing]," he said. "I felt I could kind of muster up enough to go out there and play."

so all these fckers who decided not to go watch lakers game due to state they are in
all of a sudden this pos announces its his last season, so now everyone is crawling out of their basements to watch this pos
so what happens if he decides to play on another season?
You will get pissy and them dudes you with in SA wont want to blow you off
Told you it has begun. Kobe will slowly move away from his association with this squad in some pussified effort to protect his image.
Remember when he would do his tough guy ferret face and other players would laugh at him and slap his ass,,,,,lmao
We all have pity on kobrick and his failing legacy,,,,
He should've retired after 2010 and went out on top.
Sooo where are you broke s that always talked about Pop resting Duncan every other game? No comment here?
This old piece of cant go 2 games without having some sort of "injury."
What a broken down got.
Yeah, it's still pussy, it's still chicken .
But you have to be summoned to comment on it and even then only do so to maintain a facade of consistency.
Kobe plays: Team loses to worst team in the league (giving them their only win at the time)
Kobe sits: Team wins against still worst team in the league.
Kobe for MVP
I'm still in a stupor of you citing me as the sagest of LF's.
In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king.
Don't try to wriggle off now, D. I'm watchin' ya.
I aplaud you for being the only one to step up and admit it here. Cant say the same about the rest of your friends here. They pulled a magic dissapearing act when face with the question at hand. A shame.
I still want you to cite it. I said Luva was higher tier than Cedric. I don't recall saying you're the oracle of Lakerdom.
I saw it and I don't cite. You know this.
Damn right you don't.
"I don't know the extent of it, but obviously it must be bothering him pretty badly," Byron Scott
Kobe leaves and they win.
Kobe already got his "we love you Kobe" moment out of the way so he's done. Didn't want to be part of another blowout. Now he's found a way to avoid getting embarrassed in Oakland.
This is totally predictable.
Mitch throwing the rest of the team under the bus so Kobe can get his lulz
