Diaw should be front runner for the 6MotY, but unfortunately Will Barton is possessed.

Draymond gets a lot of Top 5 player hype and he's basically a younger Boris... Spurs getting slept on as usual.
I saw an interview of Steve Kerr.. no link sorry was a long time ago, where he stated that when he got the team his first year he envisioned Draymond precisely in a Boris Diaw role and wanted him to mold his game somewhat like him in the sense of being a playmaker.

Obviously Draymond turned out to be his own kind of guy, but his inspiration was precisely Diaw.

I can see why, although it is kind of ironic because he traded Boris away when he was GM.

After all these years, coaches still put guards and SF's on Boris.. And they go at him defensively like he didn't on Lebron on live television... One of the most underrated and slept on dudes ever IMO

And I think Steve Kerr was then enlightened by Boris in the great advantage of a forward playmaker.
Will not forget Steve Kerr's comments in the G6 2014 OkC-Spurs series. Excellent game by Diaw 26 pts and kept making plays. Steve Kerr remarked how Boris had been really aggressive that series and had caused OkC a lot of problems.

Simmons wasn't a top 5 pick or some established vet yet you aren't impressed with the impact this guy is making coming off the street 30 games into his rookie season? Yet, Kyle Anderson is a first round pick in his second year and has had 2 decent game in that span but he is impressive and has showed a lot of potential. Hilarious. There is no denying that Simmons ( a guy off the streets) has had more of an impact and been more impressive in 30 games than your lover boy in 2 years. Pretty clear Pop already has more faith in him too, tbh.... and that in itself is pretty ing impressive.

Yeah, I am the one with a schtick. You are about as bad as applesauce with your conviction to stupidity.
See you keep getting on this but its really you who have the schtick.
    Party on.

Yup I remember that game. Same game people credit Bonner for "spreading the floor"

Bickerstaff, only in the league because of his dad. Kid stunk it up in college at Oregon State and Minnesota.
Did Bickerstaff get off the bench tonight. It looked like he sat on his ass and watched the game as a front row fan paying $1,000 bucks.

I don't recall LMA's playing with this kind of energy.
Maybe it takes a New Year resolution to start getting back into shape.

Frankly, I take it as more evidence that we need to split LMA and Timmy. I don't think it is a coincidence that LMA played his most assertive game as a Spur when Tim was barely on the court. A big part of the difficulty in integrating LMA into our team is his tendency to defer to Tim. But when LMA is on the floor with Boris or DWest he isn't compelled to defer to them. So we get to see the LMAlpha that many on ST expected.

It's a schtick when you compare Simmons to "not being a top 5 pick", then hold Anderson to being a "first round pick" with some sort of underlying implication that he was a high draft pick. He was one selection away from a second round pick. Some 30th round picks don't play in the NBA, much less in their first year, much less for a contender, much less get extended to longer contracts by that top contending team...

SAgal's perception of KA is far more in line with reality than your own.

That being said, she's being a little over critical of Simms, too. Other than driving into a packed lane with no plan a little too much, opening up offensive foul/turnover situations, and missing an open jumper, and learning some defense, he's still doing relatively well for a guy 30 games in to his rookie season. Good on him.
