taking down @CLE and @GSW in the same week would be delicious
Don't get me wrong, I love that the Spurs are blowing all these teams out, but it will be great to see if they can keep it up against better compe ion. Below is the schedule for the rest of the month, highlighted with their only 2 regular season games with the Cavs and their first meeting with the Warriors.
My predictions are at the end of each line. I think they go 8-2. Losses at Detroit (2nd game of a road back to back) and the away game at Cleveland. I do think they will be the first to beat Golden State at home.
So how do you think they will do?

Loss at Detroit, home against the Mavs, and at Cleveland
I think they are too good this year to lose against a team like Detriot (like they did last year when Duncan gifted it). I think 8-2 with a loss in one of the Cleveland games and GSW.
If we go at least 2-1 in the three Cavs/Warriors match ups, i would love this team le chances more than i do now..
I wouldn't be shocked if the Knicks got them on Friday night. The Knicks seem to have one game in a season where they play much better than they should against the Spurs (and the Spurs play down to them). Since 2008-09 season started, the Spurs have split with the Knicks 5 out of 7 years:
2008-09 -- W at home, L in NY
2009-10 -- W at NY, W at home
2010-11 -- L at NY, W at home
2011-12 -- W at home
2012-13 -- L at home, L at NY
2013-14 -- W at NY, L at home
2014-15 -- W at home, L at NY
Hope to be wrong on that one.
I actually thought that too. I watched their game against the Heat and they actually looked pretty good beating them in Miami.
I meant to add another sentence to note that the Knicks improvement means that the gap isn't as big as it usually has been and that a NY win in San Antonio this time around wouldn't be extraordinarily surprising.
I agree. I was thinking about this too. Plus it's an annual tradition every season for Fisher to us over somehow.
If we go by mere probability, the Spurs will go 8-2 and lose the games @Golden State and @Cleveland.

I think our home streak ends against the Cavs but we get them back on the 30th.
6-4
Split with the Cavs.
Lose @GSW, some awful officiating
2 more losses when they fail to close out in the road / some scrub goes off on them.
I could see Pop "resting" key players against the Worriers. Just seems like something he would do since everyone is excited for that game.
8-2 loses @ Cleveland and @ GSW
If healthy 9-1.
We really need Tony healthy though and Danny to be his old self.
Cavs, I see Kawhi having a statement game for MVP. He will really show up for that game.
NYK may be more difficult since they have improved and Porzingis has provided nice games for them, but Kawhi has Melo's number again. This aint the Spurs from last season.
GSW away is a game we can win. I believe our guys are hungry and aware that to close out on 1st seed if possible they must win it. I would expect Lamarcus to have his big game here. If Kawhi will show up for the Cavs (he always shows up, but I mean a spectacular game), this is going to be the Lamarcus show, from rebounding, solid defense and just draining shots. This game more than anything will tell me if he's ready for the upcoming battles. I expect a solid good game from D.West and Bobo too.
Dallas well coached, and Carlisle always the strategist that he is causes Pop a lot of problems.
Any of these games can go either way, but optimist that I am I hope we finally get some coin tosses in close games to go our way.
0-10. blow it up
Interestingly, I was thinking the opposite and Kerr might pull a Pop and do something like hold Curry out and say he re-aggravated his shin injury.
They did get the favor to retire Fisher a loser though which was bittersweet..
The game against NYK won't be easy, but Kawhi has been under utilized the past few games & LMA is well rested, i really like our chance in this game. @ Detroit, now that's a tough game against a young team hungry to get into post season, Jackson & Drummond have been great, and their young role players have stepped up their game. I have a feeling we're gonna lose @ Detroit & @ Cleveland, while solidly beating the Dubs in SF. 8-2 record is my prediction too.
i really just want them to beat the dubs, whatever else happens. i think we can stay in their heads
Detroit's got a decent, scrappy little team that's somewhat inconsistently making noise in the East, and the Spurs are visiting the Palace on the second night of a B2B after a game in Brooklyn.
I hope they beat the snot out of the Dubs, but I'm picturing a 3 loss run through the end of the month.
I will stay with my pre-season predictions ... we lose to Detroit and the Warriors ... we win all other games incl. both games against CLE because the away game is a b2b for the Cavs while the Spurs have two days of rest
10-0
No seriously,7-3,we lose to the Warriors,to one between NY and Detroit and one to the Cavs
Would be funny as if both, Pop andf Kerr, would do it. Summer League game on ESPN Showcase...![]()
Woudlnt be surprised if we lost to the ing pistons
