Same here. Who cares about the all-star game. It isn't really much of a game. It is kind of like watching the Harlem Globetrotters.

The 3 point shooting contest, now that's more of a real compe ion. Perhaps Kawhi Leonard should participate?

I second cjw's recommendation. Let's support Kawhi to make sure he gets in ahead of Draymond! Also voted for other spurs players but Leonard has the most realistic chance.

It's great how easy it is this year. I searched NBA all star voting in google and got the UI right there to vote.
You can select the team and players and it keeps count of how many votes are remaining for the day.

Players rarely get injured in the all-star game. The odd's of getting hurt in this game is as high as the odds of you getting struck by thunder tomorrow. I don't like the ASG game I think its crap but I still think Kawhi and LMA should get in. It sends a bad message to future FA's, draft picks , and roster additions that even if you put up good numbers and win you will not be an all-star playing for the Spurs. Keep in mind the All-star game means a lot for players even though the game has become very trivial over the years.

The whole All Star situation has become a complete joke: fans allowed to vote 10 times a day, fans in China voting for the half dozen or so names that are familiar, etc... I think it's a much greater compliment to be named to the team by a coach who actually understands basketball than to be voted in by completely biased and unknowledgeable fans.

ASG voters should be players, coaching staff, refs, NBA beat writers.
