because I don't consider the all star game as proof of anything except casual fan service. I don't intend to watch it and I certainly don't care about seeing kawhi having to answer questions about kirby and how great he is . if he gets in with the coaches fine, but I'd rather see him be MVP DPOY and FMVP in the same year, which he has a good chance to be.

I'm pretty sure Kawhi would prefer to start if he is going to participate in the Allstar game. Even Duncan lamented his excludement a couple years ago.
Players care for the Allstar game and more if they could start. No Spur is above that.

Spurs are going to get 2 allstars. 3 allstars is like 5% depending in our record.
Kawhi and Duncan are locks. But Kawhi can start if we put some effort by Spurs fans. I'm voting for the whole starters replaced with Manu.
I see what you're saying and I do agree. But kawhi deserves to be an all star this season, he even said he wanted to be in it.
It's mostly just a weekend of fun for whoevers involved. Just hope there's no injuries though.

They have their axes to grind, as do sportscasters. Just quit playing the game. It is a travesty of basketball. Nobody is going to play up to his ability and risk injury in a meaningless game. Pitiful exhibition.

No doubt about. The contest would lose any semblance of "legitimacy" without Kawhi.
