Oak with 21 points on 9/13 shooting with 6 boards and 2 blocks, outplaying Greg Monroe

Would hate to have been the team that missed out on this kid.

Looks like he's starting to get comfortable now. 19ppg on 61% in his last 5 games

Big Oak, Towns, and Porzingis are really starting to separate themselves from the rest of the 2015 draft class. Other than those 3, pretty weak draft overall (although Mudiay might be a talent one day).

I picked Oak to win ROY and he still may but Towns is the better bet long term,,,but that's no knock on Oak,,,he is the real deal and to pass on him with the #2 pick is an epic mistake,,,,

No blocks, no steals and no assists, and always with a negative PER. Meanwhile D-LO had a whopping +28 PER in the last game. A true franchise player to build around. Not like that mental midget in Philly

oak had a sick post move the other night ... faked the dude so hard he looked like Prime Dream over Prime Robinson ...
all that being said he will never be as good as David and i think in the end KAT and Porzy will both be better as well ...
He could be the best offensive post guy in the NBA especially as Tim, Pau and Al jeff continue to age
but I bet when his career is over he is closer to AL Jeff than he is to Pau or Tim.

He's actually a better fit for the Sixers style of play than Okafor is

Noel plays power forward. He doesn't conflict with Big Oak's role at all. And since he's defensive minded, he's a perfect complement to Big Oak.

nah, he's a center. he should be a pf but he has nothing of a pf except the size and weight

Raven is right yes Oak benefits from his defense but on offense a stretch 4 would be a better fit for Oak.

noel is a center who is being asked to play PF. neither player is any good when they're further than 3 feet from the basket

    oak's fg%'s btw...

Noel was recruited as a center, but I think he's slightly undersized for the position in the NBA. He can work in a defensive PF role like Ibaka (without the jumper, for now at least).

that is clearly the idea, but so far noel has shown no clue about pick and roll D, help D, making a jumper, making a free throw, passing.. in general he has stone hands and poor bbiq and he is actually a bigger defensive problem than okafor who does the job he's supposed to do. I understand why they want to run as much as they can, but it makes the pairing that much hard to stomach. Noel should just improve in his fundamentals and that's it, no need to use gimmicky offensive schemes. If he can't learn to play than just leave him in free agency.

yeah but he has no clue how to play PF

similar story used to be the case with al horford. for years people said he's a natural 4 and is playing out of position at 5, but realistically he's just a small 5
