Put Boban on Lopez already. He'd be the best option. LOL @ West guarding him.
West is trying, but he's just not tall enough... we need Boban in there to contest those. Lopez is just unstoppable when you're trying to match him with shorter defenders.

Yep. Lopez shooting over him like a chair. Boban will eat Lopez. Hope he plays today
DWest basicaly lowers his body to give Brooks a good look...![]()
Nets arena playing that music from that 2003 Jason Kidd/Tony Parker commercial for luck![]()
Without thoroughly researching any stats to back it up, and going off of whatever your perception of the "eye test" is, I'm guessing that the run-and-gun game that Phoenix more or less introduced - and which has since increasingly come to dominate the way offenses are run - is what contributes to that perception. The Spurs are not outstanding on transition D. The Clips outscored the Spurs 33-4 in transition in Games 6 and 7 of last year's series, and for all their defensive resurgence this season thanks to Kawhi's ever-increasing efficiency, the addition of Aldridge and the new defense-focused role Duncan has assumed, the Spurs' strength still lies in forcing opponents into a down tempo game that allows them to set their defense. 2005's le team was notable for basically the same thing.
Kawhi and Green are pretty much the only weapons the Spurs have against transition O, and they can only do so much. When the Spurs are missing shots or being forced into sloppy turnovers against teams like Houston and LA, they struggle and largely shift into a offense-minded gear to try and overcome the lapses in defense.
That's what I'm hoping for, but it looks like each team will exchange baskets. D looks like .
Lopez might be the most underrated player in the league right now.
D-Worst the weakling...
is Pop bling or what. Get West out!
In fairness, he's been beasting this year. Avging 20 and 9.
"He's better than great right now, 0/4 is great, 1/3 is remarkable!"
Tim ing Duncan. Holy what a play.
man I just hate that diaw/mills/west combination. Mostly nothing good comes from that
I'm glad Pop subbed in Duncan. Lopez was turning Boris and West into the first two links of a human centipede.
Lopez has never killed the Spurs like this.
