Pop's probably going to punt
Why is everyone saying its a sure loss ? I dont get it really it should be a close game but i don't think its a sure loss tbh smdh ...... Have some faith now
Pop's probably going to punt
B2B..Pop punting by resting guys or Hack-a-Drummond..Stan Van Gundy..Spurs killer Reggie Jackson..DET 13-5 at home..going to be very tricky but not a sure loss.
Will be cool to see Baynes against Boban.
deeeeeetroooooiittttt bassskeeettttbbaaaaaaaaaalllll
Use to hate that back in '04, '05... when they had bandwagon Kid Rock attending games![]()
Spurs shall win, coz I said so..................! lol
People are saying it's a sure-loss so they don't feel bad if we actually do lose tomorrow, and conversely, be pleasantly surprised if we do, in fact, eke out the win.
Considering the Spurs haven't beaten a playoff team on the road (only one I can think of is Memphis, but they aren't a good team), it's safe to assume they won't win tomorrow. Plus it being a b2b. It has all the makings of a loss. If the Spurs can pull it off tomorrow, it would be a huge win.
Damn. Spurs need to step their road game up.
BatManu20 needs to make the game thread in the Pistons forum tbh...
We beat Atlanta on the road.
1st reason ... the Spurs like to drop the B2B in Detroit ... 2nd reason ... Reggie Jackson
That means they're "due for one."
You really think they're going a full season without beating a good team on the road?
Does John Mason still call Pistons games?
Nostalgia going back there every time... even with Wallace recently retired.
I never said that, but right now the Spurs aren't peaking on the road which is fine considering it's January. Green and Mills are still disappearing on away games. The encouraging thing about all these road losses is that they were close to winning them. IMO, they will turn things on during the RRT.
^ Mills in 2016: 27 FG%- 31% 3pt in in 22 mpg
Fathead/Simmons are mitigating Danny's & Patty's ty season.
lol off, fathead hasn't done
Detroit only have two players shooting over .440, and that's Drummond/Baynes. The Spurs have 11 players shooting better than that.
Drummond can't hit beyond 3 feet. He's leading the league in rebounds, and he gets a lot of his points off shots that his teammates miss.
The Pistons are fourth worst in the league at assists. And they have a bunch of guys who are just chuckers from the 3P line - fire away and let Drummond clean it up.
Drummond is the worst FT shooter I can ever remember - he's shooting .362 this season.
Bottom line, the Pistons game is in the paint, and they depend on Drummond getting points off offensive boards. If the Spurs share the ball, take quality shots, and they should shoot a much higher FG% than the Pistons. The Spurs will have to have someone putting a body on Drummond all the time, to try to limit his offensive boards - it would be nice to suck out a few early fouls on him. When he does get an offensive board, foul him early, before he gets a shot up. That alone ought to be enough to beat the Pistons. When Drummond is off the floor, the Spurs bench should go nuts. This is a game where LMA's and West's mid-range games should punish the Pistons. If Danny can make a few 3s it could just as easily be another big win in Detroit.
The biggest worry, IMO, is that one or two of their volume 3P chuckers will have a career night from beyond the arc. Without that happening, I don't think the Spurs lose to Detroit.
reggie Jackson the pistons we aint losing to them
GoSpursGo
I feel like this is a trap game for some reason. Reggie Jackson and Drummond have been playing well this season.
Aside from Jackson and Drummond, watch out for caldwell pope and stanley johnson. Ivee been watching detroit this season, they are a very good home team but can lose a lot of games due to dumbheadedness
Still don't understand why they let Greg Monroe go. They had one of the best front court pairings in the league with Drummond-Monroe, yet they chose to let the latter walk.
