Would have been a 20+ point win if Pop wasn't screwing around with the rotations.
If Kawhi was Kawhi and that happened, then it would've been disheartening but it turns out to be one of our most impressive wins of the season.
Would have been a 20+ point win if Pop wasn't screwing around with the rotations.
Kawhi playing down to his opponent....yet again. He has LeBron coming up & LMA is rolling so he is probably more disinterested than usual against ty wingplayers when it's going to end up as a double digit win.
Would rather have a player who plays his best against elite opponents than against ty players so got nothing to complain about.![]()
Leonard was a gutless worm tonight a-la Game 6 against the Clippers last year. Fortunately, Aldridge and MVParker were not.
You know, I'm not so sure they let up at all. The Pistons stepped it up, and got by with a load of contact. Drummond did what he does on the offensive glass - he's done it to a lot off teams, or he wouldn't be leading the league. Kawhi was bad in the first half too, so it wasn't a let-down for him - he just never picked it up. Oh, and the sleeping Pistons shooters suddenly woke up. Everything that could go wrong went wrong, but Tony and LMA were tough.
Maybe that's why I liked it so much. They showed toughness.
MVParker annihilating E-Krew, per par.
They did not let up so much as Detroit kicked it into high gear and scrapped as hard as they could. Spurs just got tired, they are on a back to back. The refs made it much easier for them, gifting Detroit 6-8 points.
It's very hard to keep such a lead on the road against a team that is 13-5 at home. On a back to back. Agree with others that this was a gritty, impressive win that other le teams may not have won.
Sean Elliott Rules. "Kawhi kind of stunk tonight."![]()
, I am too wired. I'm headed out for a run and try to work of some of this. You guys have a good night.
With even officiating tonight, that game blows open to 30 points and the Pistons never even try to make a run.
Most great teams overcome a lot of , but I know plenty of great teams that would have found a way to lose this game.
Better get some Kinvara's bro. They're ing amazing running shoes.
This is a very satisfying win. Kawhi was awful, but it was the second night of a b2b and a third game in four nights. The Spurs start was looking like it was going to be a loss. Tony and LA played superb. Detroit is a very tough team. They play very physical, have good shooters, and a stout frontline.
It's really not. Not every opponent is gonna roll over and die when the Spurs open up a lead. The Pistons are a decent playoff team and they had confidence going into tonight. The Spurs were clearly gassed and you're just not going to hold every big lead just because you were good enough to build it in the first place. They showed a lot of resolve in fighting off the rally and the officiating team to win at the Palace.
This team is a monster. Kawhi can the bed and someone will step in and take his place. They're 7-0 in back to backs, a record that would have been unheard of just a few seasons ago. I get that you tend to be a bit hyperbolic with your posts and that's fine but there's really not anything glaringly negative to take from this game. The Spurs had a lot working against them, including the schedule, and they still beat a talented, hungry Pistons squad.
A lot of teams allow themselves to be taken out of the game. The Spurs almost did that, but Boris kind of killed it by just waving away the ref after the out of bounds call.
Yeah, because Parker obviously did it for a bunch of rejects on a basketball forum. Lol. got
Our guys were worn out in the 4th, but Pop rode 'em hard. He really shortened his bench too much, especially since Simmons did come in and really energize the team in the first half. No minutes in the second half is just weird. Should have gotten some time when we had our 19-point lead.
I've noticed him second guessing his moves a lot lately. It's like he has so much in his arsenal he has to break out his Hong Kong book of Kung Fu to see what move he wants to do. I think that's because he's not part of the offensive set other than spreading the floor for Tony, when it's Tony ball time.
Kawhi needs a premier player to guard to keep him engaged. He seems to do much better when he's got someone to shut down.

Yup Saucony makes great lightweight running shoes! One of my favorite brands, tbh.
Just checked and I was right. It was our first game we had a 30 point scorer since the first game of the season. WOW. That's just a testament to how deep this team is.
At the end, we all knew coming in that this game would be tough. Most people on here predicted a loss. In the end, we win by double digits while keeping them under 100 on a game we should have lost. And our best player had his worst game of the year.
This team is special.
Thats Spurs specialty and finishing move (to our hearts).
krew are the sorest losers ever
It's great that Tony s on you while not giving a about you.
Only the second 30 point scorer game of the season
34-6
7-0 on second night of a back to back
Kawhi phones it in and the Spurs still win by 10
winning a game any other Spurs team from the last 15 years probably would have lost
half this forum ting on this team for not winning by at least our MOV
ST being the disapproving Asian hard-ass parents of the basketball world
a roster comprised of an abundance of riches
weapons at every position
