    It can't be ignored that the Hawks weren't one blown coverage from losing last year to the Panthers. Or one blown fumble on the 5 yard line the year before. Or being a half inch short of the goaline the year before against Seattle. Am I doing this right Avante?

    I have Seattle and New England winning in close games.

    Going with the Cards for sure, but this game will be more compe ive.

    The Denver-Steelers game is tough to call. I'm gonna go with Denver in a close game. Oh wait, Peyton is starting a home playoff game. Even with the injuries, the Steelers literally steal this game thanks to a late Peyton interception where then after the game he blames the receiver for running the wrong route.
    I see it the same way. Cards, Seahawks, Pats and then....hmmm? But, I am hearing Brown is doubtful today, with a banged up Bg Ben. They proved they can get by without Williams. So as of today.....Broncos.

    You are kidding right? Dude, there ain't noway in a class act like Russell Wilson is going to say anything else, you really don't see that, come on guy.

    He's one of these (after having a great game)

    reporter.....you had a great game,
    RWL....my line was awesome today and my receivers were hot, Marshawn a beast.

    And you know it so why act silly?

    Dude, Russell Wilson was the leagues top passer in 2015, go ahead Google it. He set NFL records, did thinks never done before and beat some good teams on the road, who did Newton beat on the road besides Seattle who blew a coverage?

    Do you understand stats?

    RW, a better comp %, a higher QB rating, more passing yards. And he did that vs better opposition.

    RW, ON THE ROAD vs GB, Vikes, Cincy, Arizona. At home...Carolina, Pitt. That's six playoff teams.
    Carolina played AT Seattle, then at home GB, Skins. Texans.

    Let me guess you don't see the difference there, right?

    Let's see....

    Points scored.

    1.Carolina 500
    2.Arizona 489
    3.NE 465
    4.Pitt 427
    5.Seattle 423
    6.KC 405
    7.GB 368
    8.Denver 355

    Points given up

    1.Seattle 277
    2.KC 287
    3.Denver 287
    4.Carolina 308
    5.Arizona 313
    6.NE 315
    7.Pitt 319
    8.GB 323

    So if we take those standings add them up....

    1.Carolina 5
    2.Seattle 6
    3.Arizona 7
    4.KC 8
    5.NE 9
    6.Denver 11
    7.Pitt 11..go with superior D
    8.GB 15

    Hmmm?

    Now if we add wins in the last 8 weeks.

    1.KC 8
    2.Carolina 7
    3.Arizona 7
    4.Seattle 6
    5.Pitt 6
    6.Denver 5
    7.NE 4
    8.GB 4

    What's all that tell us, not much.

    This is the most important thing right here.

    Tom Brady vs Alex Smith
    Peyton Mannng vs a less than 100% Big Ben
    Russell Wilson vs Cam Newton
    Carson Palmer vs Aaron Rodgers

    So far the superior QB...4-0.

    Outside of last year's playoff matchup, these games have come down to the wire. I think this game will be very close as well. The key will be how well the Panthers defense performs. I expect the offense to do well enough to win.

    When the Panthers had to have it, they scored 17 points, when the Seahawks had to have it they scored 31. Yep, talking playoff game.

    Keep in mind when they played this season Bobby Wagner was out that is a big deal, and with 30 seconds to go, you were losing.

    Dude, why this need to play pretend, well? You do know that RW is by far the more successful of the two, right? This will be his 10th playoff game in 4 season, while Cam will be playing in his 4th in 5 seasons.

    You do know RW had the better stats in 2015, right? Why ignore a QB rating of 110 to Cams 88....well?

    And, why do you keep ignoring the fact Cam did play a sissy ass schedule? And because of that fact....15-1 and an MVP.

    Dude, stop ignoring the fact RW played a far tougher schedule, ok guy?

    Why is Russell Wilson a better quarterback than Cam Newton?

    While the size difference is an easy way to contrast Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson, left, and Carolina’s Cam Newton, it’s definitely not the most telling.

    RENTON — Russell Wilson delivered the perfect joke for his audience. When reporters asked him Wednesday to compare himself to Carolina quarterback Cam Newton, Wilson went to the obvious, but effective, quip about their difference in size.
    “You know, he’s — I don’t know, what? — 7 inches taller than me,” Wilson said, laughing. “You know, he’s probably, I don’t know, 260 (pounds).”

    The giant vs. the pocket quarterback. It’s the easy button. Newton — listed at 6 feet 5, 245 pounds but probably closer to 6-6, 260 — looks like a power forward. Wilson, at 5-11 and 215 pounds, was once considered too small to get on the NFL quarterback ride at the amusement park. That’s one of two popular ways to contrast them.

    Here’s the other: Wilson is the mature, dependable and tireless worker who has had more success because he maximizes his talent. Newton is the crazy, erratic and spoiled one who will never live up to his potential.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Cams Heisman winning senior season.
    comp %...66.1
    yards...2854
    td/int....30-7
    QB rating....182.0
    RW's senior season at Wisconsin.
    72.8
    3174
    33/4
    191.8...an NCAA record
    Their career NFL stats pretty much the same thing. RW having at least 5 NFL firsts in his career.
    As you totally ignore reality, why?
    Dude, I showed you their 2015 stats, what you're blind?
    Check it out.
    Russell Wilson's 162 straight passes without an interception is the second-longest streak in team history. (AP)
    Russell Wilson is not going to be named the NFL's MVP.
    That's more about politics than performance, though.
    Because for all that Cam Newton has done as the best player on the league's only undefeated team – and he's done a ton – Wilson has done something even more significant.
    He took hold of a season that was on the brink in Seattle and guided the Seahawks back to the playoffs with five straight games in which he has played as close to perfect as a quarterback can. Not only that, he did it even as the Seahawks lost impact player after impact player on offense.
    No Marshawn Lynch. No Jimmy Graham. And now, no Thomas Rawls. No problem. Nineteen touchdown passes. No interceptions. That's what he has done during this five-game winning streak while completing 74.2 percent of his pass attempts and throwing 10 scoring passes to Doug Baldwin.
    "Make 'em notice," Seattle safety Earl Thomas said of Wilson. "That's one of his sayings. He's in a zone. Especially him and Doug. He's taking over. He's separating himself in this league."
    Wilson was 21-for-30 passing against Cleveland on Sunday, throwing three more touchdown passes without being intercepted.
    Don't look to the MVP balloting for validation, though. There are 50 voters, each of whom is asked to pick a single winner. Newton is the favorite with New England's Tom Brady and Arizona's Carson Palmer also considerations.
    It's possible that Wilson won't get a single first-place vote, and that's a shame because of all the MVP candidates, Wilson is the one whose role changed the most over the course of the year as he went from a facilitator to the focal point of Seattle's offense.
    No Brown, no problem. Big Ben is still the QB who is lying about his "injury." They have studs in Bryant and Wheaton. They have depth at running back with Williams still out. They have a solid O-line. The D is still fantastic. The Steeler are in much much better shape than people think.
