East coast / West coast vs flyover country probably. Good player, bt seemed to get a lot more press attention than he deserved, IMHO. Manu basically a basketball god, and never got that same respect. Oh well. We know. I like that Kobe video where he points out Manu: That's a bad man.

The county of Georgia. It's a thing. Even the president tweeted to vote for Pachulia.

    Fun fact of the day:

After tonight, we will have just played the Knicks, Nets, Pistons, and Cavaliers consecutively, in that order.

Is that not the same order in which we won the championship against in 1999, 2003, 2005 and 2007?

    In before the jinx.

good short video from ESPN. they normally don't put out good stuff like this, but it really shows how Kawhi is able to blanket Lebron and bother him.

thanks for sharing BAtManu, (this one as many other links you take the time to share).

Putin wants to annex it though.

He effectively has two territories. And hence the anti-Putin feelings in the rest of Georgia.

Pretty remarkable tbh (excluding playoffs of course, where we lost 2 to the Clippers).

If Obama had been in in 2007 instead of Bush when Putin tried that , Putin would have won.

As a man sitting in Eastern Ukraine right now, I completely agree that Obama has been too weak against Putin.

Putin, along with most of the rest of the leadership of the world, sees Obama as pathetic. There's only one man in the race he admits to respecting:

This ignores the sanctions that have driven the Russian economy into the ground. Swagger plays into Putin, Obama hit where it hurt forcing Putin to retaliate. That's not weakness.

We also outbid Russia over Iran, and we nearly destroyed their Syria project. We made Putin take on Isis and they already have two embarrassing incidents of planes being shot down. You know who can't shoot at Russian military forces without starting a major war? .U.S. military. . I'm not stating we own Isis or anything but we've essentially forced Putin to play a worse hand.

So you're saying we've been using Sunni Islam (who hates us to begin with) as a proxy army to fight the Russians and Iranians since about 1980?

Saudi Arabia wields the most damaging weapon against Russia: the price of oil, as SA tries to bankrupt the (US) shale oil business.

It was the collapse of oil price in the 1980s that collapsed the USSR, already hemorrhaging lives and $Bs in Afghanistan.

So the USA and SA continuing to pump oil into a world glut is really hurting Russia, but also Iraq, ISIS, and Kurds.

Russia depends on oil export for hard currency US$.

Just what this thread needed, to go along with that religious discussion we had after the Paris attacks.
