The problems with the EPL...
- Too many fixtures given the style that teams play in this league.*
- Antiquated coaching and training methods.
- Being brave and trying to get any result possible is praised more than winning or playing with style. Basically if you play with style and lose you're an idiot.*
- Bringing in good players from other countries to play for the likes of Fat Sam, Steve McLaren, and Tony Pulis sounds extremely counterproductive.*
- Money gets spent on midfield players and attackers who give teams antiquated attributes. Like, for example, great slide tackling. Pushing players off the ball with their body. Winning headers. I get that those attributes are prominent in the league but let's be real, that's why people who say the style in the EPL isn't modern are correct.
Another thing is that teams get laughed at for hiring continental managers. Or in the case of Claudio Ranieri, proven winners who didn't win a league with Chelsea so clearly they're not good enough to manage anywhere. The mindset in English football is just completely backwards. Ranieri was seen as a joke, but hiring people like Pulis and Big Sam is acceptable even though they've won **** all in their whole life.*
Also, a lot of the money these teams spend seems wasted because they're lifting players from leagues where the setup and attributes required to play in those leagues is entirely different than in England. So, a lot of these signings the mid or lower-table teams make look like big time busts.
