The Celtics Are so up and down but I like them. Bucks are another young team I think can compete if they get their heads right, and Knicks have been looking much better this year with Carmelo letting porzing develop.
I think we are assuming Cavs will cakewalk, but last season Spurs (we) got rocked in the first round. EAst is different, but you can never assume the other team is going to lay out dead for you. I am with you I like the Celtics more than anything bc they are deep and scrappy. The kind of team taht can afford to keep throwing bodies at you and wear you down to . I like Knicks bc Porzingod won me over.
I think celtics on PnR with I.Thomas can pick on Love. .. honestly so can Toronto with their PG. I am not assuming Cavs are cakewalking. I am actually hoping someone takes them out. Lebron lacks mental toughness. I have always said he's a supremely talented individual but he's mentally weak.

if all gsw scrubs (iggy, Green, Clark, Barnes, Barbosa, etc.) can hit the 3 even marked, no team has a chance in a series of 7 games against them
They are impossible to beat if Iggy is hot from outside b/c you can't even hedge/stunt when Draymond or Curry are penetrating.

I can guarantee everyone on ST, or on the planet, that The Spurs will never play that weakly against GSW. Pop would kill them!!

The Bulls are the wildcard depending on how Rose plays (he played well in last years postseason) b/c they have two All-Star level players in Butler/Pau(got injured in the Cavs series while they were up 2-1 despite LeBron having a HEALTHY Kyrie)

Pop is the kind of coach that would bench Love (Diaw for us for example) after that display and play Slow-Mo. He would do it and in fact has done it already.

Pop would have slapped LeBron on national TV with the shenanigans he was pulling.

Maybe I am underrating the Bulls bc of all their locker room issues. A team with so many internal troubles is bound to give up under pressure. Jimmy Butler is a fierce compe or though and when the Bulls play well and are whole they are a handful. They were trouble for us last time we met. They are so inconsistent though and again, they have issues with Noah and Rose.

This is the scariest team I've ever seen. Almost rule change scary. They had to change the rules to stop Wilt from dunking his missed free throws. They freakin' banned dunking altogether for a few years because of Kareem's dominance in college (the Lew Alcindor rule.) Had to widen the lane because of George Mikan.

Maybe we should move the 3 point line back 5' because of Curry and GS. Talk about spreading the floor, you'd have to widen the entire court!

This. Iggy is their wild card. If he's knocking down his outside shot, no one is beating that team. Guys like Brandon Rush and Barbosa knocking down perimeter shots for them just makes it that much more difficult.

Going to have to really slow the game down against GSW. They love to get in transition. Keeping the turnovers down will be key (looking at you Manu). Need to grind them down defensively and do what Detroit did, which is make Curry and Klay do all the scoring imo.

You'd have to be great doing man on man coverage. Which, we could do. They spread the floor so much with that 3 point shooting, you can't get out of position, or let anyone get by you. You can't leave anyone open for 3's.

    Good luck Pop...lol

5' back and Curry still hits.

If officials started calling Curry pushing off to create space and Draymond's moving screens, the league might stand a chance.

Just one of those games by the Cavs. They aren't that bad. Spurs beat Dubs by 10+ imo.

That's b/c Iggy is a TWO way player & one of their best playmakers. Barnes/Rush are for the most part spot-up shooters who get raped by all-star wing-players.

5' back and Curry still hits.

If officials started calling Curry pushing off to create space and Draymond's moving screens, the league might stand a chance.
Even with all the screens the opposing team has to run through, Curry can still hit threes 5' behind the three point line and with a defender in his face. Spurs will have to play really physical with him. If you watch them closely, curry hates when people hold on to him, he doesn't like the physicality (who does?) but he really hates it.

Yep, you have to full court press him & not let him walk up for a pull 3 while bumping Draymond when he tries to set screens. D-West is tailor-made to get under Draymond's skin.

    GSW just dominated.

    Cavs offense was just broken.

GSW kept chucking 3 point attempts even when covered and they were going in. The lanes were all wide open for layups.

So their game plan is just simple, we'll chuck those 3 point attempts and good luck if you can keep up. The only way the Spurs can win is if they can make it uncomfortable for GSW to take 3 point attempts. Unfortunately, it is like this team focuses a lot of effort on that attempt which is in contrast with the Spurs that spreads the offense with an inside game and an outside game.

Spurs however are dead if they shoot only 18 3's a game.

GSW scrubs hitting everything Just one of those games, tbh. Happens to every team.

Blatt is holding that team back, btw. I got two questions. Why did they change the starting lineup and benched Thompson? They were among the best defensively with him at Center. Second question, did the Cavs even run a single play besides ISO?

All those easy baskets in the paint GSW got.... Yeah that won't happen with two 7 footers down there, guarantee you that lmao.
