They focus on themselves, as winning teams do.
You get time to focus on your opponent in the playoffs.

Both seemed sincere. I think there are too many games bunched up and too many things for them individually and collectively to improve to concern themselves with games a week away.
It was interesting to hear Patty talk about their defensive iden y. It seems they didn't expect to be this good or for that to be the defining trait of the team. I expected him to say that they just have more talented defensive players, but I think he wasn't going to throw former teammates under the bus, so he just said they have more guys buying into defense and that had not been the case other years.
Bill this is a legit question. My take is that they can't afford to look ahead and disrespect their opponent on any given day. I'm thinking that around Saturday their focus will start be shifting to GSW, but until then I doubt they give it much mind.

I agree on the focus completely. That said, it did seem a little much that Patty seemed to pretend he didn't know who they were playing on Monday. But maybe he really didn't know. More likely, Patty wanted to tow the party line and not address the warriors with two more games on the schedule first.
You are right. I am sure they are properly focused on the Suns.
It won't hurt to dedicate one session of focused high PnR defense, since many opponents are using this play as their bread & butter offensive go to play. Fact that the Dubs are great in it will only help our chance too in the coming game against them.
It probably is a good thing to get to a point where you can just focus on what's in front of you. Kind of a zen thing...be here now!
