I'm not going to bother thinking through matchups especially when the Spurs might leapfrog the Worriers on the 25th

Carlisle should stop resting guys; he has no Spurs' depth to get Ws with 2nd stringers Memphis is having cupcake stretch and are climbing up, so are Rockets, and both are closing in on Mavericks..Kings/Blazers are having a sniff at 8th seed with Utah piling injuries....

Houston and Dallas can upset the thunder and the clips who both have major weakness other teams can exploit. As bad or as avergae as they are playing right now, the thunder and LA are vurneable.

Im hoping LA loses if the get fourth seed and the spurs get one and thunder wins...but only San antonio-GSW-CLE have a clear path to the second round.

not a good news for Dallas, especially for Dirk..That's the same knee issue that caused him to miss 6 weeks in 2012-2013 and eventually the playoffs..I thought they were lock for 5th seed but not anymore..

This is the worst 5 to 8 seeds in the West that I can recall, tbh..everybody at 5 or lower is an average team

Ya - but HOU still scares me. They always battle SA & Dwight looking as good as he has in a long while. Houston is average because of at ude, not talent.

Ya, definitely agree, they have the highest ceiling of the bunch and it's not even close..

I'd rather avoid them, especially since the Spurs would easily sweep Dallas/Utah/Sacramento/Memphis or whoever, but after half a season of struggles, it's safe to say that Houston's issues probably won't be fixed to the extent where they can even approach the level they reached in 2015..

Their defense is painfully bad, it's pathetic..

I will be pissed if SA gets HOU in the first round. James Lacy will for sure engage in the playoffs.

Kings are your new 8th seed..

And it looks like the Spurs/Rockets first round unless Josh smith proves to be the glue guy Morey think he was for that team We beat both, but I still prefer Grizzlies for the sweep potential..

With Smith back they will be tougher too IMO, he played well for them last year.

Looks like the Grizz are going to end up as the 5th seed & face the Cripples in the 1st rd. I would also put my money on the Jazz making the playoffs..

at this point I'm welcoming getting the Rockets, if only for LMA to take dump on them as we get Timmy to take off a series instead of both banging, or getting manhandled in case of Aldridge, by Zbo and Fat Gasol..you're also guaranteed a couple of Danny Green 5-7 from 3PT games with Harden defense..minimum travel and maximum 5-game series against an extremely inconsistent team which is probably resigned to a lost season(Dwight opt out, lame duck coach..etc..)..

    6 years come June.

17 June 2010 seems like a lifetime ago in some ways & just like yesterday in other ways.

    Mostly though a lifetime.

    4- Los Angeles Clippers (33-17)
    5- Memphis Grizzlies (30-20)
    6- Dallas Mavericks (28-25)
    7- Houston Rockets (27-25)
    8- Utah Jazz (24-25)
    9- Portland Trail Blazers (24-27)
    10- Sacramento Kings (21-29)

    * Mavs are close to unraveling, it seems ..If they lose today at Memphis the the 4th and 5th seeds macthup between Clippers/Grizllies becomes more of a lock and the rest of season will about who holds HC..without Blake, LAC aren't catching the Thunder either..

*As far as Spurs, i would actually favor either Dallas/Rockets over the Jazz in first round..Minuimim travel and ty defenses should have LMA beast and Timmy virtually taking the series off..

Scratch that..The Grizzlies could be free-falling out it if Gasol is done for the season ..Blazers with an outside chance..
