Pick the six or other number for minorities. It doesn't have to be the one. Use five 10 sided dice if you wish one of the numbers to represent a black rather than a minority. This makes the odds of a not being nominated in a category at 59% rather than the 40% for a minority. Blacks only make up 10% of the actors and actresses. Diversity of awards should be looked at by Hollywood's demographics, not national demographics. For the 20 nominees total, if actors and actresses were selected totally by random, the statistical odds would be 12.2% that none of the 20 nominees are black.

When you're not good enough it's always easier to point fingers and yell racism than to take a good hard look at yourself and why you didn't make the cut. When black actors have been good, they've been recognized.

I couldn't wait on the dice so I made my own set of 10 sided dice out of cardboard. I labeled the sides with names of black and white actors based on their race's proportion of actors in the industry.
